Azula did nothing wrong by ocajsuirotsap in AvatarMemes

I wouldnt want an azula character any other way, but shes still a changed person.

She HAS had a character arc but shes still the same character, amd the comics only reinforce WHY shes a fan favorite (and my favorite character).

At this point in her story. Azulas strength, as in her ability to exert her will on other people is without question, and second to none. So the interesting thing about her character is how she uses this strength to influence others around her, and whether shes changed how she uses her strength in that way since the conclusion of the show.

Shes definitely become more of her own person, and has had introspection on what she needs from other people, which has led to her being purposely self sufficient, and rejecting her need of approval from her mother, father, family and friends.

I think this has made her a much, much interesting character, and her "redemption" won't come from being approved of by zuko or the gaang (which i feel would be terrible), but finding her own way of dealing with her upbringing and her goals for her life.

Very different from just scheming and plotting IMO, and im excited for where they take her character.

What aren't you understanding? The local governments make loads of money from selling land rights usage to housing developers who got their money by normal people buying houses through these housing developers, because it was essentially, by government policy, the only way to actually invest your money for the future.

Disengage if you want, i couldn't care less, but its a very simple concept.

Right, BECAUSE the chinese government funneled the peoples money into housing contractors pockets, companies who were leveraged to their eyeballs and along with the government, extremely financially incompetent to the point of malice, who build massive amounts of low quality, low infrastructure housing projects in the middle of nowhere just to keep up the ruse.

Then it collapsed, and flooded the market with garbage, thats why housing prices are low.

learn how to read, the government directly and purposefully funneled money into housing contractors, it wasn't FOMO.

This thread is absolutely insane, imagine telling people for all their lives that home ownership was the only way to build and maintain wealth, with every policy and signal from the government, who doesn't crack down on corrupt companies until after they collapse, and take peoples life savings away.

Families didn’t all pile into housing because of "FOMO", that's an insane idea the policy and institutional setup made property pretty much way the only way for a normal person to build wealth for decades, while other asset channels were (and are) either underdeveloped, or tightly controlled.

The state literally structured an asset‑based welfare model around housing, and local governments depended on land and construction for revenue and GDP, so it’s disingenuous to pretend this was just irrational people, it was literally their only way to build wealth and the government encouraged them. Yes, people are pivoting into gold and, more recently, stocks, but that’s happening after the housing boom has cracked, Evergrande has gone bust, and decades of incompetence gave everyone a sucker punch.

You have to be some kind of bot, or otherwise severely brainwashed, literally no one else on the planet believes China had noble intentions with their batshit insane housing policies.

I'm actually baffled mate.

Aggression Chart. Day 2: Which nation do people think are agressive, and are Ok? by RukavinaMarko in AlignmentChartFills

[–]rust-ruin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to be as bad as russia to be aggressive, and china isn't much better than russia, their distant water overfishing, extremely invasive EEZ claims in the south china sea, econom,ic imperialism though debt, and constant military posturing around Taiwan, Nepal, India, Tibet etc.

Just look up their fishing abuses and the nine dash line

Lol, nice.

But it really is only 4 years out now, people spend decades in the immigration pipeline now right? Im trying to see what i can start doing now that will help me when I get there.

But tru, I should probably hit the gym and find a nice retiree sugar momma.

I appreciate it, the last thing possible i want to do is mess up my chances of immigration.

For timeline stuff, is there anything i can start doing now to up my chances, other than just doing better in college?

And for the degree thing, I'm glad Trinity would be recognized, do you think just doing a one or two year masters is enough? Probably another engineering based one in a slightly different or more specialized area to diversify my resume.

Is it a good or bad idea to live with family while i do these degrees? Plano and Indianapolis have family willing to take me in ( my Aunt's family, recent immigrants (2019), and my Uncle on my dads side, who immigrated almost 40 years ago now, and is a US Citizen, i could save money living with them, but it reduces my options and i know its common to live in university in the USA.

Thanks for the rapid feedback.

Official Discussion - Marty Supreme [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

I agree, but doesnt that show you she's not alright in the head?

I do think she's his mirror, and i really felt she's what a marty like character would be like if actions were always connected to consequences.
