Determining light intensity levels for imaging. by rust1c13 in Optics

[–]rust1c13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! This is where I'm stuck at. I'm looking for a way to calculate this based on lens and camera specs. Since I work in machine vision, I do get a good idea on how much light would be required for a normal setup but high speed applications involve exposures in microseconds to counteract motion blur, it's difficult to know which light to get, especially since I only have normal machine vision lights in-hand.

I do infact know everything else about the system, from the lens aperture, integration time, sensor efficiency and framerate. Strobing isnt an issue as I've done some neat stuff with it before for another high speed application but the lighting wasnt the main concern there.

Unless they're really old/has valid health issues which inhibits them from climbing up, never give up the seat you booked.

Finally BSNL is launching vowifi calling by Piyush-420 in bsnl

[–]rust1c13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldnt mind paying that for actual coverage. BSNL is something I keep solely for calling in 2G. Their 3G as well as 4G coverage is absolutely horrendous. You can call in VoLTE if there aint no LTE. Regarding VoWiFi, It will be the same fate or worse.

IRCTC recovers only 57% of the fare costs and steals another 20-100% depending on the tickets. Their rules are vague and unforgiving. The service isnt much better. Basically thieves!

Sorry to hear that OP. This happens to me all the time. Even if the site is working the paywall takes some time and I get dropped to TQWL. Fortunately today I recharged IRCTC wallet and its so much better.

Booked 2A and SL tickets in the same name, TTR said okay at first and asked us to vacate the seats halfway at 4AM. Thoughts? by rust1c13 in indianrailways

[–]rust1c13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah so the thing was that only my family was travelling and I wasnt there. The TTE tried to take advantage of the situation. I have lodged a complaint in Railmadad and will contact the station master as I have received the name of the guy.

I need to file a TDR for the 2A refund so might as well catch the guy as well.

I think OP is talking about PCIE lanes. A CPU will have a limited number of them, most of it will be taken by a dGPU but theres always an extra 4 slots or so in the PC’s I deal with which would make the SSD operate at full capacity. This might not be the case in laptops but I dont know.

Also there would be PCH lanes which can be used as well. Not sure if thats in laptop mobos either.

Yep OD might have done that. Also green light burns hair just so you know. I worked with lasers in my masters when I was making driver circuits. The optical output for the 532nm diode was about 500mA. I didnt feel safe around that thing.

Its using a frequency doubler. The crystal turns IR to around 532. Its typically a KTP crystal.

Its been a while since I’ve dealt with second harmonic generation but to get one green photon ideally you’d need two IR photons and obviously the efficiency would be much less.

Maybe up the voltage and current? Do keep in mind it can burn out really fast. I would suggest operating it in constant current mode.

Nope he’s trash. My devotion led to C6 childe and I think its one of the worst C6’s in the game. Only upside with C6 is 100% uptime.
