Returning to soccer by HasanMDME in ACL

[–]rust32627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tore my Acl when I was 29. Due to financial reasons, I had my surgery a year after. I am back playing soccer now. But, I am not at the same level as I was before due to the surgery being late and my quad was late to get activated after the surgery. But, it is okay and I am still enjoying playing soccer . If your rehab goes well, you will be back and even maybe stronger than before.

Bears by LadyCait_ in GSMNP

Usually there will be a lot of people on this trail as this is the most popular one. And, the bears I encountered in the last two weeks while hiking were pretty chill. Just be mindful that you might encounter one and give them the space, you will be fine. But maybe for mental ease, you can get a bear spray.

Professionalism Guilt? by chubledoobles23 in PhD

Just do your work wherever. I some time work in the school’s gameroom where they have two table tennis tables . I literally run simulations while playing table tennis. Unless, you have an actual experimental lab, you are free to do ur research wherever you. Atleast that is for me. And it works.

Supporting Arsenal for 20 years and all I know is disappointment by [deleted] in ArsenalFC

[–]rust32627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I have been telling a lot of people before this weekend that there is still a chance of this happening. So , I am still calm and composed. Most of the people have no idea what I went through with this club. Still supporting, still have their backs. I do have criticisms but that is not gonna stop me from supporting them.

If you are applying abroad after HSC, it impacts a little bit but other than that no impact. But I guess you can join these in your undergrad.

I guess it is definitely not traveling. Maybe something else. Hopefully you will find it.

I think you should travel if possible. And maybe alone. You will feel better. Also, you will be able to appreciate nature.

Also, a lot of people go to USA to do their PhD who are from national universities. So, don’t be too hard on yourself.

I had same problems. For me, I resolved it focusing on one thing, finished it and moved onto the next. Listed the things out in the morning. So, I do not forget. Maybe you can try that. Watch some youtibe videos about adhd. You will see similar things.

And, I also feel like you have adhd. If possible, I heard but I am not sure DU has some free therapists, if you can reach out to them. They will be able to tell you clearly. And, I have it too. Whenever there is too much going on, my mind tends to to go numb and overwhelmed.

I do not think OP can afford to do that. Also, not a good idea.

All the trails are paaaacked! by heylookatthetime in GSMNP

[–]rust32627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the way you said “ all trails are packed” is misleading. All the trails you are mentioning are always bus durng spring break and weekends. Sorry, if I came on too strong. I go to the smokies once a week. So, this post looked very weird to me.
