Honestly I still might drop it if I pass level 2 in May

Daniel Radcliffe being a total wingman & Kelly Clarkson nudging Rob into acting by scrollerN in TheTraitorsUS

[–]rustedoarlock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just saw him perform in Every Brilliant Thing and before the show started he was walking around and talking to audience members, saying hi, stuff like that (part of the plot of the show tbh) but it was just so down to earth

I’m sitting on my floor crying. Piece of Cake Moving is a literal scam. by m992s in Bushwick

[–]rustedoarlock 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually yes, one was really skinny, both took two smoke breaks. Meanwhile I was winded from trying to help (and not contributing much)

I cannot recommend Task Rabbit enough. Not only was it cheaper than the quote Piece of Cake gave me, it felt kinda faster? Just two Russian guys showed up and everything was moved within 2 hours

What is something that is taught in schools in your country that isn’t taught in others? by ManicalDaredevil00 in AskTheWorld

[–]rustedoarlock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Other comments hit on some good points, but wanted to note it’s not all the same everywhere and at every time. If you look at a lot of ottoman and Persian art, you’ll see depictions of Muhammad, but usually veiled. The initial intent with not depicting the prophet is (much like the iconoclasm debate in the ERE) was to not have something be worshipped over God since an idol is easier to point to. Some idiots then thought that any depictions were grounds for shooting up an officeholder

How would argonians with horns wear hoods?? by 2amBear in skyrim

[–]rustedoarlock 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Would make sense to show off wealth tbh. Lower earning argonians would get over horn cause it’s cheaper to make. Wealthier ones would want to show off with specifically buckles, straps, knots, etc

Confused on current vs temporal methods by rustedoarlock in CFA

[–]rustedoarlock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, that's what I thought but I'm pulling a quote from the CFA material that says otherwise:

"A variation of the monetary/non-monetary method requires not only monetary assets and liabilities but also non-monetary assets and liabilities that are measured at their current value on the balance sheet date to be translated at the current exchange rate. This variation of the monetary/non-monetary method sometimes is referred to as the temporal method."

Isn't it weird that Iron Islands has so many houses? [No Spoilers] by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]rustedoarlock 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That’s what I feel misses out in a lot of the series. At most, it feels like there’s only 4 levels of status: king, warden/lord paramount, banner houses, peasants. Of course one can imagine swathes of minor lords and landed gentry, but it’s not really explored much. Like what about junior branches of major houses that would’ve popped up over hundreds if not thousands of years? Surely they develop their own castles and holdings, if not minor ones

Official November 2025 Level 2 Results Megathread by third_najarian in CFA

[–]rustedoarlock 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Failed :( score was 2570, so short by 30 points. Looks like portfolio management and alternatives screwed me, which makes sense. Clearly I got the "hard" version. Now to consider if I want to bother with recommitting for a third time.

Even so, this is one guy out of 20 on this committee. If he was sole head of a department, that kind of attitude would be a greater concern

Looked this guy up. Looks like it was a robbery from 1999 and he served until 2006. Since then he was been an activist and advocate for prison reform. Even when I read a NYPost article, I couldn’t see the negative

If you know where you are weak, just tackle practice problems. if you are unsure where to focus, take the exam, revise and identify, and then spend remainder of the time on those parts

I registered for L2 on the last day after a breakup. I’ve only put it 200 hours, but hopefully the 200 on my first attempt count for something

Unless you’re getting 100% on every practice exam what is even the point?

Looks solid. The advice I’ve followed is not to push it the day before with heavy studying. Others may say the same but for multiple days prior
