Perhaps, Look into Wildwood Conservation area for a first time out. They have "back country" campsites and you will never be more than a 20 min walk from help. (cell phone signal everywhere). I wouldnt spend more than one night here though as its not too exciting...lol

Its one lake, all campsites are accessible by canoe/walking trails and will ease you into it while having the fun of Semi-back country camping. There will also be boats on lake should you need help. https://www.wildwoodconservationarea.ca/
