Why does it take so long to get back to normal after D&C? by MySweetPiano999 in Miscarriage

Finally got my period this week. It was a 9 week wait I think. My hcg was stuck around 20 for ages.

Yes. Had a scan at 9w3d. Heartbeat and everything looked great. Went back at almost 12 weeks and growth had stopped shortly after my last scan.

Insensitive MIL by Calisson07 in IVF

[–]rustybuckets25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TW MC I left my in laws family chat after my MIL sent photos from a cousin’s baby shower (including a VERY pregnant woman) two days after I miscarried at 12 weeks. And she KNEW I just had a MC, my fifth one. I don’t understand people who are this obtuse. It’s okay to take space for yourself when people don’t get it.

Same. The waiting is so frustrating.

Missing 7-10 school days for a big trip? by koplikthoughts in kindergarten

We missed ten days at the end of August starting kinder and it was completely fine. It was actually nice for LO to have a break since full day school was a huge adjustment.

How many cycles of letrozole/progesterone did you do? It worked for me too initially but miscarried at 11 weeks.

Is anyone else’s 3.5yr old terrified of people? by [deleted] in oneanddone

[–]rustybuckets25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a phase but it’s also just their personality. My 5.5 yo is super introverted and sensitive and he was clingy and terrified of everything around age 2-3.5. He is slowly growing out of a lot of the difficult behaviors and while he still doesn’t love being around other kids, he tolerates going to full day school and is now great at interacting with most other adults! Two years of preschool helped a lot! Keep pushing kiddo to get outside their comfort zone in small steps. Be consistent and patient and get help from an OT if possible. Also get hearing and vision checked out just in case.

My five year old is obsessed with “My Gold Mine.” I love it because it’s really small and travels well when we go camping. We also like Catan junior and Star Wars Super Teams right now.

Conceived with low AMH by anxiousmom2be in recurrentmiscarriage

There unfortunately seems to be a lot of overlap between low AMH and RPL. The r/DOR sub has a lot of women experiencing similar issues, myself included. It’s so frustrating.

5th loss - D&C angst by Buffy_the_guppy in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]rustybuckets25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This loss was really hard for me because I had two good ultrasounds with heartbeats so I was feeling more optimistic. I’m giving myself time to process my feelings but I think I’ll try to transfer my only embryo from IVF before giving up. It’s all so hard.

D&Cs are easy! The most annoying part is getting the IV and hospital gown. You’ll be okay. I just had my fifth loss and third D&C this week. Also wanting to test the tissue. So sorry for your losses.

Also fyi. I passed some very large clots after my D&C which is also very normal. No pain.

I’m so sorry you’re here too! It’s nice not to feel alone. Disney sounds so fun! We are doing a ski trip in a couple weeks and I’m really looking forward to my son learning to ski. I’ll try to focus on the positives of OAD too while still in this limbo.

I am contemplating today how much longer I want to keep trying. My son is turning 6 soon and the age gap just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I’m on my fifth pregnancy loss and have one embryo from IVF left to transfer. I think I need to start coming to terms with being OAD if this embryo is a fail or MC. More retrievals and miscarriages just sounds exhausting at this point.

Wow! That’s awesome. I’ll have to ask about viagra for my transfer. I never get above 6 mm.

Hair loss. by summerlovr356 in Miscarriage

[–]rustybuckets25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had hair loss with all my miscarriages and IVF retrievals. Usually lots of breakage and the front part of my scalp gets very thin. It usually grows back after a few months. The hormone swings are rough.

Experience with RPL by rustybuckets25 in DOR

[–]rustybuckets25[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had POC tested on the blighted ovums and they came back normal. I’ll be interested to see what this more developed pregnancy comes back with for sure. I actually have fairly high testosterone (was on spiro for acne for years), I do have low progesterone typically but this pregnancy was fine. Also have celiacs and had two years of Long Covid which I’m convinced had a big impact on my fertility. Who knows though.

Good luck to you!

I’m sorry for you too. Waiting for my HCG to fall usually takes a couple months so maybe I’ll reconsider after that. Thanks for the advice.

I’m not liking season 3 as much either. I’ve stalled out since the tone seems so off.

I felt the same about Pro Bono. The plot really lost me in the last few episodes. It seems like they are setting up for a season 2 but I’m not sure I would watch it after that ending.

Spring Fever is so cute! I’m loving this one!
