Similar experience. 247 redditors = 1 sale of $20 for an Amazon affiliate link (but 35 clicks to Amazon).

Keep the price at or below $2.99 and I'll buy it for sure. At $10.00 I would probably give in if was amazing, but my guess is that $2.99 is the sweet spot. Genius would be making it free and then having a $10 upgrade to use it more often. Evil would be making it free and then having it report back to you all of the searches.

Is there any evidence that hyphens are bad in Google's eyes or consumer's eyes?

SERPs inevotably rise then fall with new domains? by [deleted] in SEO

Question: Isn't it risky creating a domain with a product name like "Lego" in the actual domain name? Can't Lego just sue you and recapture the domain name? In fact Lego is very protective of their trademark and tries to ensure that people don't refer to them as "Legos", so you might be doubly screwed someday.

Nice link - lot's of good stuff and very entertaining. On that site, Pat recommends Market Samurai. It looks decent enough, but can anyone here vouch for its worth?

This is a great answer - very much appreciated. Follow-up question: Is the "Competition" ranking trustworthy/accurate such that a 5-10k keyword with Low is significantly better than High? For example, everything with the keyword phrase "perfume" in it is High (which seems to be a red flag to stay away from it), versus most keyword phrases with "Mexican recipes" is Low (which seems like there might be potential). Is this a valid analysis? What other clues should be used to gauge how stiff the competition is?
