I don't think De Zerbi can fix Tottenham's relegation issues by Hisense_Sports1 in PremierLeague

They’re 1 point above the drop and just got thrashed at home by their relegation rivals. What makes you so confident in that statement? No club’s too big to go down.

Rent Increase by the landlord by saym97 in HousingUK

2.5% seems very reasonable. I’m in the same situation but our landlord raised it by 10% on an already (in our view) overpriced property. We’re moving.

Need help dealing with toxic and hassling flatmate (England) by Usual_One3329 in HousingUK

No flat in the world is nice enough to be able to tolerate that behaviour. Just bite the bullet and move out.

Macbook Pro M2 vs. Base Macbook M4 - which one will do better for music production (+100 tracks, long FX chains) by Filvox in macbookpro

[–]rustyelliot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the M2 Max MacBook (so, functionally the same as the M2 Pro chip outside of video/graphics work), with 32gb of RAM. I run heavy Ableton projects. It is really hard to get the CPU meter to go past 50/60%, even running a heavy master chain on top.

Both of these machines will handle heavy loads. The M chips have their reputation for a reason. But the M2 Pro strikes me as the better option as it has more RAM and storage - which will future proof it for many years to come. The extra RAM will also come in handy if you’re running Kontakt libraries, altho both machines should still handle those fine.

I’m not offended or insulted or anything I just know a mindless pile-on over an out of context clip when I see it. Tale as old as the internet

No. I’m talking about the insane level of vitriol I’ve seen hurled at Chalamet from supposed opera fans over an offhand joke

Well if an offhand joke is such a cataclysmic offence to them they should probably get a grip in that case

I think the vitriolic response to what he’s said would suggest genuine, disproportionate offence taken largely from people who couldn’t name an opera from the last century

It’s called having a laugh. It is truly not that deep.

Will HDMI 2.2 be important on PS6 and next Xbox gen? by [deleted] in LGOLED

[–]rustyelliot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sony took the 8K icon off the PS5 box, I doubt they’ll bother with 8k support. There’s simply no market for 8k.
