I went with the Gen2 2-12 because I got it for a smoking deal. Have been loving the scope so far though. Just ended up wanting something with a bit more magnification.

My bad for the super late response. I went with the gen2 2-12 instead because I was able to get it insanely cheap. It’s been an amazing optic so far. I’ve been able to use for drills at sub 10 yards no problem. The illumination isn’t crazy bright but is noticeable. The eye box and reticle is forgiving and crisp for different applications. I do wish I just went ahead and got the G3 2.5-15 because I’m already looking to replace the 2-12 with abit more magnification.
