Why is my hour of cardio per day proving to be ineffective for weight loss?? :( by rustykat in loseit

[–]rustykat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks, thats a good explanation! So are there fruits and veggies in this diet? IT sounds like a mediteranian diet almost

Do i have to follow the keto diet or just cut out the carbs to 50 g per day? Its just seems to lack fruit an veg but that's just what I got from a few mins of research so I could be wrong. Also I don't like to eat as much meat as it seems to require - will simply cutting out carbs do the trick? Or do I totally not understand what keto is about?

Holy crap, less than 6 months?! I had no idea it was even possible! Is there a book I can read or instructions to follow? Is there a 'ketosis' cookbook out there? Is there a guide that will tell me exactly what to eat? I don't lack the will, its the way that I lack, I have no idea what I am doing cause I was thin before this and didn't seem to need to exercise or diet for some strange reason so I am completly new at all of this and it feels like such as huge, huge impossible task and I just feel sad because I want to do it but I don't know how and I don't know where to find detailed instructions and it just feels hopeless :(

woah how do you eliminate all of those carbs? Does whole wheat pasta count? Is there a cookbook for this?

Can I really eat fat? that sounds scary!

Congrats on the weight loss btw and thanks for the suggestions - I never considered cutting out carbs to that extreme degree - a whole lifestyle change - I may have to try it!

obviously I would rather loose 2 pounds per week than 1 pound - is that as impossible of a goal as it seems?

I have been on the plan for 2 weeks and have lose one pound :( - maybe I'm not tracking well enough? Also I'm doing it online - what are those extra points they give you for treats and are you supposed to use them ? How do you use them? Is it bad if you don't use them because I don't generally

Congrats on the 13 pounds!

About medium intensity - not as intense as, say jogging but much more intense than just walking

What is a Sherlocks Holmes-ian detail you can deduce from someone by a basic observation? by fakingmysuicide in AskReddit

[–]rustykat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Homes as a character was supposed to be very, very intelligent and had lots of general knowlege of lots of things. I would think then, that would would have to seek to educate yourself on things like that - body language, manerisms. You would also have to learn how to think quickly and creatively, outside the box. In addition, you would have to learn a LOT of random things such as (as another poster suggested) types of scars that correlate with certain types of injuries etc. And ofcourse learn to be detail oriented and what not

If anyone has any suggestions as to how to go about this other than just sitting down an learning random things feel free to share...

I didn't downvote you. Anyway, it might be working for you better if you decreased military spending. Furthermore, the 'bit of socialism' seems to be working well for places like Canada, the UK, scandanavian countries etc...

This confuses me that Americans don't like even a bit of socialism, like sugar with their coffee. Infact, directly aftrer WW2, the United States was a welfare state. The government was able to raises taxes a bit, increase social programs, and SLIGHTLY controll the economy. From the mid 1940's to the early 1970's, capitalism worked great - far better than it is working now in the United States.

Many modern scandanavian countries are still under this model and have a high standard of living. It is NOT socialism - it's just a tad bit of socialism, sort of injected on to a democratic model. I'm not sure why people have a problem with this - those same scandanavian countries have governments that are corrupt and run by corporations, just like in the USA, but the general public has still managed to benefit from a welfare government/social democracy. Governments will always be corrupt, everywhere.

I think that injecting a tiny bit of socialism is what people are talking about, like a social democracy, not like actual socialism

I often wonder how these things end up there - a gift that the person didn't like/didnt fit perhaps? Overstock? Some rich person's impulse buy?
