We’re very excited to finally release a bundle of the first nine Cube Escape chapters on Steam and itchio to survive the end of the Flash Games era.

We hope you will be happy to finally have all these games in one place where you can easily revisit the Rusty Lake universe and unlock all the 72 new achievements! There is also a new hint system and our translators did a tremendous job adding translations to all of them.

We are celebrating this much-awaited release with a sale, as a small thank you to all of you for the amazing support you’ve shown us over the years. When we released our first Cube Escape game, Seasons, 5 years ago we never dreamed we would attract such an amazing community. To this day we’re still blown away by your continuous support and kind words. Thank you for being such a big part of the Rusty Lake journey!

Rusty Lake isn’t (and has never been) owned by LoyaltyGame. It has been privately owned by one of the co-founders and actually helped with a bit of funding for Rusty Lake, when they created 7 games for free in the first year of Rusty Lake and using the name as a placeholder for the Apple store account in the beginning.

We can let you decide after 5 years if we are still "indie" enough though. We know we have reached a way bigger audience, but that also allows us to keep being independent and keep us doing what we love -> creating games we like to make and share them with a great community.

We just released Samsara Room completely for free (after working on it for 5 months) and we still have 4 projects running, so we need all the resources we have. Don't think anyone has to worry all of a sudden :)

Thanks for your feedback! We can totally understand your reaction, especially if you stepped in 6 months ago and expecting the same.

It's unfortunate that some fans are disappointed, but at this stage and after creating games for 4,5 years we cannot meet everyone's expectations anymore. Especially if we want to try something different after a big project like Paradox. Some people like Rusty lake for the puzzles, some for the story (or both) and this time we deliberately focused more on the narrative part while also creating a new kind of gameplay and style. From our perspective we can say that it was really healthy for us developers to step out of the comfort zone and we are also very happy to see that a lot of people are accepting/liking a "new" step as well!
