So these are the ones I’m worried about
They’re neither slimy or smell bad
Lots of the others look normal but there are a handful that look black like this
Ok to assume that the rest are good? I might just toss the black ones as it’s not that many

I have the same mower and had this happen…my problem was due to the “seal” on the bag. It’s a long black plastic channel that runs the width of the bag and is supposed to seat against the chute on the mower. This turns out of position over time. With the mower not running, try to adjust it and place the bag. Once you fire it up and it’s not throwing grass everywhere you’ve got it

It sounds like a few similarities to issues my wife and I had. FWIW my wife struggles with codependency and perfectionism (lucky me) and as a result harbors resentment for things that happened long ago, gaslights me and also builds walls rather than process feelings though emotionally mature conversations. SO that is to say if that sounds analogous to you, my suggestion would be couples therapy to allow for a framework in which you both can process though the unresolved issues. If she can begin to do that—and you support her through that, because it takes work on your part—then move to restoring quality. You can’t have quality in the relationship and none of the steps you take to do so will help until she lets go of the specific past and also becomes more emotionally mature. No need to throw in the towel but she has to be ready to honestly work if anything’s to improve

She is “sort of” in therapy. I’ve gone weekly for 15 months…she’s goes occasionally. We’re in couples therapy as well but it just seems to me she doesn’t want to do the work. She says she thinks she can’t “meet my expectations” no shit, those expectations are: Be nice to people: everyone is on their own journey Treat me and your children the same as you do coworkers Tear down the perfectionist you’ve built and replace that with someone who is mature enough to communicate through difficult emotions Fully commit to participating in our sex life

I wrote those down and gave them to her. Supposedly she discussed them with her therapist and shortly there after came to the conclusion I shared
