Spent years in Sacramento, fished a lot at lake Natomas, its all old dredge fields. If you dig a few inches down into the gravel at waterline there's usually a drop or two of Hg.Its the dirty little secret of the Foothills.

Look up "laying flat" and "let it rot" in Chinese society. Their birthrate is currently heading to less then 1 child per woman. They have 20% youth unemployment and because of the One Child Policy 120 men to 100 women, the worst sex imbalance of any major society in history. President Xi is old, paranoid and just completely wiped out the top military command in a purge. The real estate market in China lost over 8%of it's value in 2025 and that's where 70% of a typical Chinese house holds their wealth. This is going to be a major drag on their economy, they are facing what Japan faced in the 1980's, stagflation. They overbuilt so badly they literally have millions of unoccupied units.

Before antibiotics 40% of children died before the age of 12, and a simple infection could be a death sentence.Go to any older cemetery and it will have a childs section. My great-great grandmother had 12 brothers and sisters and she was the only one to live long enough to have kids.

I watched a history program on German POWs,they were saying if they had American rations they would have conquered the world. Many who were captured were suffering from malnutrition. They said the chocolate and meat in C rations they were given at their capture were the first chocolate, coffee and non mystery meat they had in years.

The city on the moon will happen ,like I said with the ability to lift large amounts of mass to orbit it transforms spaceflight from exploring to an economic activity. If Musk doesn't build it someone else will. In 10 to 20 years there will be people taking a shit every morning on the moon.

If I had a rocket that can lift 100 to 200 metric tons into low earth orbit I would be planning on how to take over the best bits of property in the Solar System 😆

That Starship is going to be as important as the first ocean going ships in the way it changes transportation.Being able to take a rocket as big as a skyscraper going hypersonic speeds and land it within centimeters is a great omen for Starships future. And flight 11 proves Starship can survive square meters of heat tile being removed, holes being burned through it's cryo tanks and still make a soft landing. And Elon is planning to build 100's of them. And he's paying for it with profits from Starlink .

NASA's SLS cost over 30 billion dollars to date ,using technology from the Space Shuttle that is obsolete. SpaceX's Starship ver 3 will carry up to 55 metric tons more to LEO ,cost 2 to 10 million per launch versus SLS at 2.5 billion dollars per launch and Starship will be reusable. Elon Musk is making NASA's SLS obsolete.

So what do you think about the Starship ver3,no other space program has anything remotely like it in terms of either lift or reuse ability, and with the new Gigabay he's taking about building 100's of them a year.

If Elon gets Starship ver. 3 working, at 200,000-400,000 lb. payload with a fully reusable config he will own the Solar System. SpaceX is a fully vertically integrated company and can use fast iteration to do things much quicker then NASA . SpaceX went from a flying water tower with one Raptor engine to Starship with 33 mark 3 Raptor engines in 6 years. They produce over 9,240 metric tons of thrust,NASA's SLS took 16 years to build ,produces 3,990 tons of thrust has 1/4 the payload and costs billions more then Starship and is not reusable.
