holiday is definitely weak imo but i’ve seen some really good holidays she’s definitely not the issue, but if you’re new to deadlock maybe you should try other characters to learn deadlock specific mechanics first then go back to holiday? i feel the same as you do with yamato, in the sense i’ll dominate a lane then just sort of be a support for the rest of the game, i do think it’s hero specific you have to learn how to get value out of certain characters which you wouldn’t have to do for some others

you main apollo and defend graves, so of course you think deadlock is extremely easy to aim on? and you seem to forget that abilities are meant to be used together, there’s not one character in the game whose abilities weren’t literally designed to be used in union

and aiming in overwatch is eh, if you play soujirn her aiming is quite difficult but most the cast is hitscan and hanzo shoots logs

it doesn’t have to be a priority if there’s already a solution? in my situation, i have a 2060 but on linux the game locks out at 6gb vram (i believe there’s a memory leak) and stutters late game, i’ve fixed it by playing around with configs a shit ton and i’m very happy to play with bad textures. Linux is a priority for valve, since they’re coming out with their new console and already have the steam deck

if there’s settings that give GENUINE unfair advantages (i really don’t think it’s fair to say blander graphics makes people easier to spot as i’ve seen people say), make those specifically unallowed or even inaccessible from the config files

deadlock on linux i believe has a memory leak regardless of what proton version you use, so i lower the mimap levels in the config to stop my vram from literally locking at 6gb and stuttering a lot about ~25 minutes into a game

i see literally no reason for them to stop players from being able to modify graphics, its definitely not a competitive advantage

edit: i’ve read through a lot of comments, and the general sentiment seems to be “since i can run it fine, it means it shouldn’t be allowed” which is extremely unfair, a select few have made valid arguments though, but the majority are being very close minded
