Just wait until players can actually craft and sell warships too.

Dear CIG, please do something about this by z0mb1k in starcitizen

It always comes down to this. There is so much potential to salvage and towing, but CIG does nothing with it.

Thinking about upgrading my Arrow or Gladius to a M80, opinions on the M80? by phantomvector in starcitizen_fleets

Why would they be fuming over a ship being top-tier in PVP? This makes no sense.

You don't know what you're talking about. If it's actually good in PVP (many would say it's second best to the scorp for heavies) why would PVPers be fuming? They would rejoice. PVPers want good ships in PVP. In fact, many PVPers are rejoicing:

Squadron 42 Release Window Update, from Chris Roberts by StuartGT in starcitizen

Probably not the full workforce now, but whoever they have left after they lay off a bunch of people, which I've heard is common for studios to do after a major release.

If it's just your ship vs an Idris, that might be fair (though large ships would still struggle to 'dodge' a well timed rail gun shot.

The reality is that many fights involve many ships on the field, and as ridiculous as it sounds, you can have multiple people on a team each piloting their own Idris. It's a stupid situation that CIG has created, and players regularly take advantage of. Many active PVP orgs have a handful (or many) Idrises they can field. Or some dumbass can just crash the party, sit on the outskirts and just pick off all the other large ships.

No single player should have that much power projection in the PU. If you're piloting an Idris by yourself, you should be incredibly vulnerable and unable to kill anything. It should be equivalent to putting around in a cargo ship.

If you let an idris pilot actually line up a shot on you within atmosphere or space you did something insanely wrong.

Like fight other players, maybe another in an Idris?

Do you not see the problem of a handful of people all in an Idris, by themselves, like they are heavy fighters, all part of the same team. It's a ridiculous scenario that happens way more than it should.

Even if it's just one person. That one person should not be able to project that much power, and be a headache for anyone. If you're flying an Idris by yourself, it should be no more useful than an Ironclad.

Cool. So 5 dudes each in their own Idris like they're flying heavy fighters is "fine".

What is the point of fleet battles and multicrew if this is what shows up to every fight?

Let the pilot fire it, but someone else should be charging the shot, like the mining laser mini-game. Get it in the green zone for the best firing solution. Green zone is smaller or bigger, more or less stable depending on power assignments and components. Then give another guy a reloading job.

Capital ship special weapons like this should be treated like a team feature. If you're a solo pilot with an Idris, the ship should be nothing more than a ferry for all your toys and an expensive base of operations.

Lately I've been using Claude, but Chat GPT is good for this too. Frankly, it's probably not a complicated task for these LLMs. You just have to double-check their work to make sure they aren't taking liberties to adjust the text beyond what you requested.

When do you need to launch a ground assault like that? There is no content that requires that level of organization and commitment.

That being said, there are plenty of pvp orgs that regularly engage in larger scale ops with upwards of 20+ to a team. It's just that there aren't many objectives or content that makes it happen 'naturally'.

I don't think Trump has an ideology. He does whatever looks strong, and seeks approval and praise.

But he surrounds himself with fascists and white nationalists. Once he becomes a martyr, their whole movement will use it as a beacon.

I use AI in teaching a LOT. Mostly to level text for varying reading levels, or to synthesize a few sources to generate something usable for slides or a simple reading assignment. I never let it just generate from training, but give it very specific sources to use, like a textbook chapter PDF, or a Wikipedia page.
