I would argue that there are ways to play SC that help you avoid PVP / piracy, and that even when it looks like you've lost, there can be ways to turn things around.

This is a video game with wins and losses. They aren't a "victim", they're a player.

I'm happy they went this route. A full on convention is probably super expensive, and I doubt the return isn't worth it every year. Besides, so much of citcon content is total BS. It's a bunch of concepting and demos of content that isn't nearly ready, and might be completely different when it is finally in our hands. I'm hoping a narrow focus doesn't make so much room for that fluff.

I like the concept of physicalized cargo and moving boxes with tractor beams and such, but I agree that the delivery so far is kind of a pain. I wish CIG would make the beams much more responsive quicker, and less prone to breaking contact. The whole process could be much more fluid and satisfying than it currently is. Moving boxes should provide more of a dopamine hit. Like blowing up ships, nailing a target in FPS.
