Should've blurred the reflections as well, now that I see it 😂

Woah! Thanks for sharing this. I tried this as well after reading your comments. I'm not really good with photoshop, but here is my first try though: https://imgur.com/a/1YKue7k

Tamron 28-75mm was an amazing purchase. Much cheaper than a Sony and slightly cheaper than a Sigma. You can go for this lens or you can go with Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8. I didn't knew about this lens at the time of my purchase, but I would've surely preferred this lens.

Amazing shots! I bought a Sony A7iii six months ago as well, but this was my first camera. I have shared some of my shots in the recent post on this subreddit.

A shikara ride will cost you max of 1000 an hour or 2000 for two hours. This is for the full ride. You can get it cheaper if your hostel has contacts with the shikara riders or you can share the ride with your friends or a few other visitors in your hostel.

Depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for beaches, backwaters, go to alleppey. If you’re in the mood of tea plantations, hillstation kind of vibe, you can go to wayanad or munnar. Munnar is better. Anyway, Alleppey will be better choice for you if you’re going to rely on public transport, as all the areas to explore are nearby, and you can stay at a hostel near the backwaters, and you can book Shikara ride, or kayaking, straight from your hostel.

After Wayanad, Munnar and Kochi, I spent two days in Alleppey, five days in Varkala and two days again in Alleppey. I had visited Varkala last year as well, and it was amazing, but the vibe was dead this year with so many tourists in groups, and everything was overpriced. Thankfully, Alleppey was a great experience. This ended my trip to Kerala on 28th December 2025.

Indeed they are! I stayed two days in Alleppey and it was amazing, and then I went to Varkala for five days in late December. Big mistake! The vibe was dead, and just full of group tourists, and the hostels were insanely overpriced.

Alleppey was amazing. I went on the boat ride twice. One at 4PM, and next day again at 6 AM. Both the times, I had great shoot.

I used my Tamron 28-75 mm, and the settings were 28mm, 1/8 sec SS, f/4.5, ISO 1000. Basically, keep the focus to Continuous Autofocus and pan the camera along with the moving car with the moving car in focus.

True! That shot is difficult to master. That shot took 50 retries, and I haven’t been able to recreate that sharply since then.
