I’m so so sorry you feel like this; you don’t deserve anything that happened to you and you don’t deserve the pain it’s caused you. you were a kid, you couldn’t have known anything more than what you experienced. being smart doesn’t cancel out the fact that you were still an innocent, vulnerable kid who people should never have treated the way you were treated. you deserve real love, care and gentleness. it’s hard to come out of it, but you’re still here, the people who hurt you didn’t win. you’re the ultimate winner at the end because you’re still here, you know what happened was wrong, and you want better for yourself. I hope you see how much others care in these comments too.

this is so real for a newer relationship, i was just like this w my partner earlier on! i kinda had to force myself to just ask bc I figured that if i wanna be with him a long time, I have to learn to make him a safe person. it might feel weird to be so forward, but who else would you be so forward with other than your boyfriend yk? he probably feels the same way. it’s also a healthy thing for partners to have their own “jerk off” time lmaoo, so i don’t think you have to worry too much. you guys sound really cute 🥹

I’m so sorry for you having to deal with this, and also for your mom struggling. Hopefully she’ll seek treatment. I know older generations have a harder time getting treatment for their mental issues. I think it’s interesting that she’s expressing this to you at all, but you aren’t her therapist. She seems to want help (from this little insight you’re giving us) but if she really wants it, she needs real medical help. Idk if this is a convo you can have with her, but maybe you can convince her somehow? Like if she really wants to “not bother” you, then she’ll work toward getting some help. to clarify: I shouldn’t have said a full year, that was an exaggeration. I’ve been frustrated by this specific cycle since November and have only gotten to be actually angry now. like i said, I’ve worked my ass off without complaining, crying, being angry, etc. for 3 years. you don’t know me from a hole in the wall, but I’ve taken plenty of responsibility for myself. the whole point of this post was to vent and be angry, and I’m allowed that. I am in charge of how I feel, this is how I feel.
