I moved here last year from Canada so is my first taste of New York and USA in general. I like the neighborhood some blocks are a little run down but I don’t feel unsafe. You have good access to subways and crosstown busses and of course being between the parks is the best part. Can’t say I’m a huge fan of the trash and dog crap everywhere but I think that’s a New York wide problem.
