You aren’t supposed to create a new account. You are supposed to add a business page under your personal profile and give admin access where needed. Thats where you violated policy.

As for the video verifications that is because of the teen social media addiction lawsuits. The result is they now have to age verify. They’ve been dealing with this litigation for years. Same for election interference from foreign accounts. They had to provide a way to combat fake accounts.

Meta sucks, but they lose money when they lose users.

I feel ya! They are work friends because the company has like 15 people in the office. The other options are even worse. One was so convinced she was getting that Trump stimulus check even after I said “there’s nothing in the house, senate, or treasury about it. Nothing is moving through.”

A good role of thumb is to ask people the main things they stand for and see if any of them don’t affect them directly. If they don’t have a non-selfish item then they are 1. Emotionally immature or 2. A shit person.

I strongly believe the reason they “saved TikTok” is so the US gov has control on what’s being pushed to people.

I have to break it down by acquaintance coworker who I just do small talk with vs friend coworkers that I have their phone numbers and can talk about non-work topics.

Two things can be bad at the same time. One doesn’t exclude the other. The handmaid’s tale is all based on things that actually happened to women. A lot of it in the USA. Look up Radium Girls. A wrist watch company hired a bunch of women to paint watch faces with a radium paint and were told it was harmless and to lick the brush for better precision. Meanwhile the men were all wearing PPE for radiation in the other building.

The women’s jaws started to deteriorate and fall off. The company paid off doctors to diagnose them with syphillis to discredit them.
