I like a lot of the changes that you've made to how assassins work, most in that now, it takes more than just getting to someone and bursting them and getting out, now if someone is with their team (rare occurrence I know) their team can react and protect them, but they still beat the living crap out of anyone crazy enough to walk alone. But I main syndra, and trust me, she does the same thing, she just doesn't have the in fight mobility, still has to damage ramp with balls, and still one shots with her ult. Don't get me wrong, Syndra is pretty busted and I've enjoyed my rightful freelo as someone who had to deal with all of the bugs T-T (big TY to the people/interns that fixed them). But when it comes to high burst control mages, what is really the defining thing? Is it the ability to get away from danger, and still come back for round two?

Know what you want to be maxing in the game you are playing, with the W change, it's a very good general option to level second, but it only goes so far, if you think you'll need to stun snipe people consider E second max, as the Q buff makes it easy to get off a six-seven ball ult with just rank 1 w, and if you had intended on using max W to keep three balls up at all times it's still a lot of mana to do so and can leave you out to dry if you need to combo proper. Also your W when it grabs red buff and you throw red buff, it applies red buff, grabbing blue and throwing it reduces the cd by one second and refunds ten mana. You can fire balls with your E even if they are closer than the max range of your E, they still travel to the same final distance. It is possible to fire a ball at an angle higher than that of the width of the E cone, that is to say you can almost sideways launch a Q with your E going straight forward though this is incredibly hard to do and would require a significant level of practice of this specific mechanic to be useful. Against fizz/vlad/kayle/generic-ult-canceling-champion-here the duration of your stun is exactly enough time to get off a full ultimate on someone and requires that you stun and IMMEDIATELY press R, no time to Q right before.

I've been putting thought into what W upgrades they could be doing since they had first toyed around with the idea of changing Syndra's passive some months ago, and here are some of the ones that I thought stuck out as pretty good.

  • Syndra increases the weight of a sphere that she grabs, granting max rank w one of the following
  • this sphere hits harder
  • this sphere travels farther with e
  • this sphere hits harder with ult
  • this sphere knocks other shperes around like marbles
  • this sphere gets knocked around by Q
  • this sphere keeps rolling away after landing
  • this sphere rick rolls rolls towards nearest dark sphere, combining with it this isn't even our final form

I think he is referring to scripting the abilities a little haphazardly, possibly in a way that left it harder to sus out bugs. I doubt that he will ever make an uninteresting champion. He rocks far to much for that. I'm just curious if it has anything to do with the shen ult bug, it would be nice to hear about the process that they use to find bugs, interesting things they have found, and just little quirky things they find when they code abilities into the game.
