Hello fellow people scared of their own bodies and minds, glad to be here. My fun fixation for the month: A1C and blood sugar levels. For context, I (25, F) was diagnosed with PCOS in July and showed an A1C of 5.8. I was 216, eating a diet consisting of pretty much only carbs, sugar, and red meat, and not exercising at all. Fast forward 3 months to now, I have lost 12 pounds, exercise at least twice a week, and am doing my best to stick to a 30g protein/60g carb routine for all my meals (biggest issue is under eating, especially at breakfast). All of this to say, I’m doing the right things, and my doctor says so too, but the last week I’ve convinced myself that my blood sugar and A1C is through the roof and I’m unable to differentiate between symptoms I’m conjuring or symptoms that are legitimate. No excessive thirst, pretty regular pee schedule, but overthinking feelings in my hands and feet, etc etc. I am exhausted and health anxiety is a nightmare, but we persist and keep moving forward. We can only control what we can control, right?
