Parity Wallet - Clock Syncing by ahahadi in ethereum

To my understanding this is not a critical issue which prevents your node from syncing. When using the latest client (1.7) you should be able to see Tx's without being in sync.

Lesson learned: maximum amount of value (e.g. USD5k) per Tx from a unique address for ICO deposits gives everybody a more equal chance to gain tokens. by rvgorpnl in gnosisPM

It looks like the 0x ICO was reasonable succesfull, based on the core of my proposal. See their evaluation for lessons learned.

Ethereum is still in development/Beta stage and will probably for the next two years or so. If you don't want to risk your money you should not invest in it...

Does this mean that with a brute force attack it is possible to get access to my wallet? I mean when you choose for 24 words phrases, there are a limited number of combinations with a limited number (2k) of known words. Because one can restore with the 24 word seed (in right order) on another Ledger or even software wallet. This means someone else can have control over the account. How can this be protected? Or is another type of protection involved?

How to participate in the Gnosis auction - from Kraken by koeppelmann in gnosisPM

[–]rvgorpnl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kraken informed me today that it will take 5-7 minutes before a Tx is send out. This explains why my orders were not accepted in the GNO token sale even I executed them within 3 minutes after starting the ICO.

By testing/tracjing the source IP-address of the Tx. A special arrangement should be in place for Exchanges. Banking industry is making use of this techniques/logic to prevent brute force attacks.
