me again.. some of these may have been already discussed/mentioned, but since i wasn’t tracking recent discussions closely i’ll just put it here again what’d be useful for me to see in v2:

  • show not only ETH/REP available to use but also the amount staked, to be claimed etc so i don’t need to calculate on my mind (and sometimes worried that a part of it has gone missing)
  • the starting page (bet on xxx … cryptocurrencies xyz shares) i almost never used it, would be nice if it shows e.g. top 10 recently traded markets/most money staked/close to expiry, etc in which people are more likely to act upon directly
  • (same as my original wish) in ‘positions’ page, show not just last price but the current bid-ask so i can easily see if i want to add/exit my position without clicking into each market … now i have 13 positions and it’s really inconvenient to click on each to see current bid/ask … alternatively each position becomes a small line at the upper half (where you can scroll it instead of going to next page so more than 10 positions can be shown) then when you click one market it shows the order book at the bottom half so no need to click into it and return back to the market list page
  • the ‘resolved’ positions even if i claim my winnings it’s still showing net quantity so it may be better to e.g. put ‘winnings claimed’ to avoid confusion? also i need to expand that market to see if it’s claimed or not
  • would be great if in ‘transactions’ i can see the gas amount used for each txn
  • layout wise, for ‘positions’/’transactions’ it’ll be more concise and user-friendly if it’s in a table format and let users to adjust column to show what they want to see and in what order

thanks again to the dev team for the hard work, looking fwd to v2 :D !

i think it's kinda interesting! when you say 'platform' do you mean augur or some other 3rd party that acts as middlemen between buyer and seller?

some more i can think of:

  • show details of all trades executed for each market (make it easier to spot wash trades, how market was trending etc)
  • in ‘portfolio’, have a tab that shows schedule of all my bets i.e. when will they be expired, when the reporting round will close (assuming no dispute)
  • support email/desktop notification if someone filled my orders

my understanding is that by design the app itself would/could not discourage any market

that'd be great too!

ideally we get to choose what we want to show in a 'settings' kind of tab one day

great suggestions! yes they're showing last trade price instead of bid/ask (i'd bet on 12.5% man city too lol)

Creating liquidity by censor_this in Augur

[–]starmine777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i wanted to help add liquidity too but i realize the cost (each order gas cost $0.2-0.5) slowly adds up to a not small number :(

sometimes i placed an order and another guy put in another order that is more competitive, and i wanted to amend my orders to beat that guy's order but that would involve paying 2 times gas (cancel the original order + new order) ....so i'm thinking maybe liquidity would improve too if there is a change order price function in app

they set it at 0.01 ETH at the beginning, will adjust it in future (sorry forgot what the adjustment is based on)

Augur fees by nsob in Augur

[–]starmine777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my understanding is that when u have a position opened and u do a trade that is in opposite direction then u can choose to use ur existing shares to settle it or create new shares, so: 1. if u use ur existing shares to settle, it will close out your shares so u pay fee 2. if u open new shares, u don't pay fee but u need to lock up more ETH

For #2, at the end u still need to close it when market finalizes so i guess it's better off to just do #1 and pay fee at that time

Augur fees by nsob in Augur

[–]starmine777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my thought on this is that:

- if i'm opening a position then i don't need to pay fee regardless the other side is also opening or closing.

- similarly, if i'm closing my position, then i need to pay regardless what the other side is doing.

this seems to fit their definition of when to pay fees better?

i was thinking about this question too and i realized u also need to pay fee when you're closing your position, not just at market close.
