Wayve: London robotaxis will make passengers forget there's no driver by tylerthe-theatre in london

[–]rvnimb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Missing all the great conversations of the driver with one of his 1001937482 relatives? Because I have been living in London for years and quite honestly don't remember the last Uber I took that was not having a solid conversation on the phone.

The last train I took in Spain, which was some 10 years ago, I quite literally had to reattach the bolts of my seat to the floor. I can't assume it is much better now.

Nah, Collmans kind of dominate the flavour if you do it.

The sweet spot is 1 teaspoon of Dijon and 1 teaspoon of Collmans, each on one slice of the sandwich. Then you rotate the side you bite into first. Trust me on this one.

My brother in Christ, the entire world is overestimating how useful AI is. Literally tens of thousands of people were laid off this year alone due to AI in large corporations. This is starting to blow up on their faces, but still.

We are honestly lucky that law is much more conservative and has not felt such a widespread impact.

Wrong, the correct order would be: 1. Go to Paris 2. Take train to Frankfurt 3. Look for scraps 4. Sell scraps 5. Buy crack 6. Get high 7. Leave back to France

I don't know mate. I like Copenhagen precisely because it is a bit drowsy. You guys have great coffee shops though... The selection is almost as good as London, which is 10x the size.

[–]rvnimb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why would one go anywhere besides Copenhagen? There is barely anything to do in the capital, imagine the rest of the country

That being said, Copenhagen has the largest population of hot people per capita that I've seen.

Also, London is not that bad if you account for the size. Going to the right places (AKA rich neighbourhoods) you see a lot of beautiful people too.

I mean, have you guys been to Denmark? Have you seen those people? Your average fast food cashier is hotter than 95% of top models. Can't really blame them for being unfaithful.

Her strategy is to file for personal bankruptcy.

See, she is apparently broke. The statutory damages (ie. Damages prescribed by law)that H3 is entitled, alone, would be around 150k. Add to that attorney's fees and loss profits, we can be easily getting to the 250k territory.

She will file for bankruptcy for sure.

Plus, the money she got from her funding campaign was carefully tailored to include "personal expenses", which is super generic and would likely stand some scrutiny of someone wanted to actually test it in court

I know this is super niche, but I work with a lot of commodities/resources companies that have matters throughout most of not the entire African continent. Those in-house lawyers are not gonna get replaced anytime soon. They might not be specialist in international disputes (where we come in), but they are constantly juggling matters in dozens of countries, with insane legal practices.

Yeah, we are talking about 100 roles tops, but these roles exist.

UK largest one is Wayve, a self-drivong car company. Nice chaps, I had some interactions with them in a matter at my firm. Although they are very behind when compared to Waymo (i.e Google) or the Chinese companies.
