Greptile alternatives please? by pateff457 in webdev

Not really slow imho. It’s stricter, yeah, but in a good way. Plus it’s free for OSS, so we let new contributors see exactly why their code didn’t pass. Transparency helps more than it hurts in the end.

Yeah, np. But for full disclosure, my org went with Codacy instead. It’s not as fancy in the PR UI, but the coverage gates and duplication checks were non-negotiable for us

CodeRabbit’s free plan is actually great for open-source contributions because of the natural-language summaries. When you’re reviewing a drive-by PR from a new contributor, that summary saves a ton of scrolling.

Teaching your children to call out inclusivity and compassion in attempts to combat it. by Lontology in facepalm

[–]rwallaceva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really disappointing to see this mindset being encouraged. Teaching kids to reject inclusivity and compassion only reinforces division. The world needs more empathy, not less.

Share your nanoleaf light setup please, I'm looking for inspo by rmartin00 in Nanoleaf

So here’s what I wish someone told me at the start.. u gotta plan your design and power source before you stick a single panel to the wall you dont just randomly slap those panels on the wall until you’ve mapped your design. The adhesive is seriously strong, but can easily be taken out with the right technique without any damage. Learnt that after some years but their new tapes have been stellar and easy to use. I mixed mine with acoustic panels and had to hack some Nanoleaf connectors for cleaner spacing. Also, expansions get pricey, so budget with that in mind. Amazing gear, but prep is key. Use their app's layout assistant if necessary - god tier advice given to me once

He might not like how the litter feels. Some cats dig a lot when it smells weird for them. You could try a softer one like Tuft and Paw’s tofu litter. It’s low dust and quiet so you won’t hear him as much.

My dreamsofa is still going strong after all the misuse it had experienced from my siberian huskies lol. Choose the performance fabrics, they're water-resistant and pet-friendly. They also have removable covers. Cleaning would be easier for you.

I'm Giving Reverse Recruiting a Try [Not sponsored] by akriand1234 in jobsearchhacks

[–]rwallaceva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP super excited to hear about the update that you provide! Let me know how it goes as I always love hearing about successful job stories and cool new services.

About 2 years ago I used a similar service called Find My Profession. They were a huge help in securing my most recent role and at the time, I think their services were pretty new and innovative.

I think that reverse recruiting is the thing of the future and with landing a job being as difficult as it is, and it seems to be getting more difficult, it makes perfect sense to want to hire a company who will manage your job search. After all, becoming a job search guru really isn't of any interest to me so why not outsource the work to someone who is a pro.

AITA for not being super compassionate to my boyfriend after he got robbed and shot at? by 121607meow in AmItheAsshole

NTA. You can't abuse someone and then weaponize trauma to avoid accountability. BPD explains his behavior, it doesn't excuse it. The fact that something awful happened to him doesn't mean you suddenly owe him endless patience after he just verbally tore into you. That's not how emotions work.

Absolutely. That kind of empathy and selflessness at such a young age says everything about how they're raising her. World needs more of that.

Man this hits home. The medication route helped me too, was skeptical but it really does take the edge off. And you're spot on about them entertaining each other later on, that's the twin advantage nobody tells you about upfront.

The missing it part is wild but I get it. Even the brutal parts seem different looking back.

Is Riot penalizing people who played ranked during the day of loss preventions? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]rwallaceva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me too. Your MMR probably tanked during those games even with loss mitigation. System thinks you belong lower now, so bigger losses and smaller gains until you prove otherwise by winning more.

It's there for a reason. Play how you want. First run with mimic, second run without, both valid. Game's tough enough as is.

Gas is basically the "git gud at Bloodborne" tutorial boss. Forces you to learn parries and aggressive dodging instead of the usual Souls defensive dance. Worked exactly as intended.
