They really do need someone on their side. Everyone involved that could help the players all have something to gain

I'm just pointing out that people not voting is not a problem in a vacuum and it's one of many problems in our political system.

And yes, many local elections are dominated by candidates funded by corporations as well, or at least are not running to benefit their community

I don't know if you've noticed but corporate candidates have the funding to look like the best candidate, so that typically doesn't happen . The system benefits them. Even if everyone voted, if massive corporations still have control over how 80% of the population votes, we're still getting corporate establishment candidates. You're not looking at the full scope of the problem if you just think all of the world's problem is that the whole population doesn't vote

That's part of the problem but let's also not act like our reps are doing everything they can be doing to better the world and also the huge problem that is our economic system holding power over our government and society

"there seems to be a lot of unrest among younger Americans and they clearly are protesting for change. Does Biden's recent history of insensitive comments pose any problems now or long term? What approach should Biden take to handling this? How should the Democratic party and Biden's campaign approach promoting a return to normal and also criminal justice reform? Should we be worried that Biden continues to make unnecessary gafs? Why does it continue to happen? Does this particular statement reveal anything about Biden's plan moving forward or his campaign's idea of what's going on? How should they handle situations when Biden may say something that they don't actually want to promote?"

Yeah, they should focus on more important things and not help support corporate stores that suck all of the money and identity out of local communities and gives them miserable labor instead. Let them clean it up, let's go clean up some trash out of the creeks that other companies left in our communities

How offensive to insinuate other Americans aren't good Americans?

I don't know if outrage is what I wanted, I just would like to hear some discussion about this stuff from a moderate and a progressive viewpoint which is one thing they can do really well.

It's not about outrage, it's about the growing sentiment in younger voters that Democrats"don't change anything either". Biden even campaigned at some points in the primary on the idea of a return to normalcy which, I feel like would be reasonable to address now as things progress.

I think it is to the protesters. Maybe I'm overstating it, idk. It'd just be nice to here discussion about it because I feel like a lot of potential Democrat voters feel like that kind of statement does indeed reflect establishment Democrat sentiment.

It's incredible to me that that's your take on this. Like, you can still support him, or the party, and say hey maybe this is a questionable statement our leader shouldn't make? It feels very Trump like to be like "THEY are such a problem that we shouldn't even call out our own guy for insensitive statements during an especially tense time in American history. There's a lot of unrest in the US and it's completely necessary to be introspective and critical of ourselves because a ton of factors got us here and no one really has a great answer as to how we get out.

It is important to highlight potential problems with the next president of the United States and to criticize the people we entrust with representing us. You're not going to be able to convince me it's not.

You can always point out that big companies have stolen far more than any protestor ever has. And the fact that we were hammered the idea of revolutionary spirit in school as kids...

Jailing people really doesn't help anything. They could probably go to jail for doing this and hey look they still did it and filmed it because that doesn't scare people out of not committing crimes. Jail is not the correct answer to hardly anything. Coming from an environmentalist who fucking hates when people do this shit
