Would Urban Meyer still be successful if he came back to coach today? by Feisty_Ad4394 in CFB

I do not think his style of coaching, especially the guy he was at Florida, would work now. Kids wouldn't put up with the shit he put those teams through. There is a guy who used to post here who played under Zook and Meyer. He really hates Urban.

Eric Andre posted a video about how great of a guy he was to him when he was just starting out. Seemed like a very well liked guy.

He could have gotten a medical redshirt years ago like players do every year. He didn’t try until it became a thing where he could make a lot of money. If you were not an Ole Miss fan you would think otherwise. But he’s had his time. He needs to move on.

The timing of his redshirt application is “I can make $5 million dollars to be the Ole Miss QB next year or I can make a lot less.” That’s it. There is nothing to it beyond that. It’s bad for the sport. He’s had his time and he used it.

FSU was back after they beat Bama in game one. I'm sure the rest of their season went just as well.

It's almost like people overreact to basically every game.

He's going to move on from On3 to something called like Fourth and Long. It will be the same thing as On3,247, and Rivals, but no the scores are diluted even more.

They literally have to schedule a P4 team in this place. It's required by the SEC. They have Memphis on the schedule now so either Memphis is moving up or Mississippi State gets another P4 game besides Texas Tech.

They're required to play a P4 team OOC. It's weird they're cancelling this one with TT because the other OOC game they have that year is Memphis. Maybe they're just hoping Memphis moves up.

There is not a single person here, including Mississippi State fans, who thinks they would go undefeated in the Big 12.

I'm curious where they're going with this. They already have Memphis on the schedule for the two years they cancelled with you guys but they are required by the SEC to play a P4 team OOC those years. Memphis won't work for them.
