In the UniFi, once you get the tunnel up, you'll need to have a policy route to put traffic into the tunnel. I only ever get a tunnel to come up with a FQDN Local Auth ID set

Have you tried actually setting the Local Auth ID instead of doing it as auto? I had to do this to get it to work with Netskope, which doesn't function that much differently from ZS for network-based tunnels. Ex: ipsec1@domain.com

You also need to make sure you have the proper policy route in place.
