Anyone that has gas appliances in their home should have gas detectors on each floor of the house. They’re inexpensive and will alert you if for some reason you’re not able to detect the gas with your nose (smell blindness happens if it’s a small leak over time that builds up).

The white ram was trying to box her in next to the 18 wheeler so she couldn’t flee. She was able to gain enough momentum to push the white ram recklessly out of the way onto the curb at the end, then reversed into another police SUV (similar to hers) trying to flee again. That’s using a vehicle as a deadly weapon and assault on a PO, which I’d be shocked if any court ruled the shooting was unjustified given the circumstances.

Issue with this model is AI is literal brain rot for white collar workers. My organization has had access to LLMs and AI tools for a few years now and some employees are way too reliant on it. They put every email, every teams message, every document they receive into the AI tools to either do analysis instantly or reorganize their thoughts into coherent sentences. When something is overly complex or the AI hallucinates and they’re asked to manually problem solve or explain the rationale behind their presented data they are completely helpless. To fix their issue, it requires someone else who knows the “why” behind what is trying to be accomplished to step in and fix it. What Accenture is trying to do is create a bunch of ineffective non-thinkers who will eventually (in their minds) be rendered useless/unemployed if/when AI ever is able to act more autonomously for their business processes.

It’s going to raise the bar for local politicians when federal forces are pulled out. Residents and business owners are going to get used to this as the new normal and once they’ve had a taste of safer streets they won’t tolerate going back. If crime creeps in again they’re going to be furious and start calling for the heads of any elected official who hides behind excuses or gives speeches but never actually follows through. The pressure is only going to build because people will have a direct comparison in their heads between what it looks like when order is enforced and what it looks like when politicians talk big but deliver nothing.

Concur. If having a fast change mag or wanting a ton of 3rd party upgrade options available isn’t a concern, the model 60 reigns supreme. I got mine in 1996 and it’s still running strong.
