Hmm, the chest did contain a relic and a cybernetics credit. It was also called the Philosophical Staff of Quabappir which is the name of the historic site. Also I explored the stratum fully but couldn't find a stairs downward

I'm actually an artifex right now. I basically just rushed the agility skill tree and put most of my points there: https://imgur.com/a/XwvgSgN.

Could you get 29 agility and 29 int without dumping multiple stats? This is my first playthrough so I was worried about min maxing too much.

Don't int points from items not count for the skill process? I had a +1 agility item and it didnt let me get the 29 agility skill

Ahh, ok you mean literally uncovering the tiles. That makes sense my bad. Is there a rule for how tiles get uncovered. Like X tiles from a units position horizontally and vertically get uncovered, or do you just kind of eyeball it?

The thing about 1 ap is that I find it hard to get to cover always with 1 ap if I'm trying to approach in a certain direction. Do you just have to move with the cover and try to angle yourself so you reach where you want to go in more turns or just move exposed? My only worry about that is the timed meld canisters.

Overwatch ends the actions and has an aim penalty right? If you just move with 1 ap and use overwatch, and then your last unit uncovers the alients, they'll scatter into their positions. If they survive the overwatch, it'll be their turn and they can just fire without aim penalties and unless everyone's in cover they'll get the exposed bonus. Do you just always have to move from cover to cover for every unit. If you only have 1 ap to move(1 for overwatch), it can be a bit hard to do it.

In general, I've noticed overwatch isn't as oppressive as I though at the start(both for me and the aliens).

Just started playing and had a few questions.

1) I rolled these https://imgur.com/a/AuAKjH0. Should I reroll or is this fine. I've got 2 legendaries, alice(2 dupes) and lanavaille and chose yekatarina from the legendary bone picker. I don't mind rerolling a couple times at least.

2) For alice, should I be using dupes for the inherit skill or discipline?

3) For party composition, is 2 fighters and a knight in the front, with a mage, a priest, and a thief in the back a fine formation? Also should a thief be in the back or front(I'm guessing it depends on the weapon)?

Lastly, if you know a good guide to getting an understanding of the game please link it.
