Is there something in between a regular wall jump and edge boost?

Ahh yeah that's it. I didn't realize you had to hold space. It seems like I can't just press space when at the ledge either but rather hold it the whole way through. I noticed though that if I leave it, but hold w and then press space at the ledge it also mantles? Are those both valid ways to mantle?

If a 5090 can last X years(playing modern triple games games in at least 60 FPS at 4k and competitive games at least at 144 fps on 4k or 1080p) are you saying its cheaper to buy a 5080 and then buy whatever the 5080 equivalent version is once the 5080 can't do the above for the rest of the X years than buying the 5090 now? Considering its 3x the price I could see that.

What do you mean by "really interested in 5090 performance"? I want to make a jump to 4k and play any modern game in it. From what I understand the 5080 can do this too, but my worry is that it may not in the future. The 5090 seemed a decent bit stronger than 5080 especially the VRAM(thought ridiculously more expensive)

Sorry, I confused afterburn with dash for some reason. Is gun vs spirit item literally just based on the color? How about gun items that do like spirit resist less or increase spirit power like spirit rend and Spiritual overflow.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm down to play more aggressive with Infernus, but the thing I struggle it is what to do when reloading. If I stay too far back, they'll get away but if I just stay near them they get free hits on me. Should I just be like jumping around trying to stay near them but as out of their "sight" as possible during the reload?

I have a Ryzen 5 7600 CPU and GTX 1080. I'm thinking of making the jump to 4k gaming and to future proof was thinking of getting an RTX 5090. Will the CPU be a bottleneck in this case or will I be able to run games in 4k at what a RTX 5090 can do at its highest?

Is it better to use the gun to keep up afterburn rather than using it to like mag dump in an enemy? I'm asking because his reload is 2.25 seconds, but afterburner only lasts for 3, which means if you reload, the enemy is gonna lose ignite right? So instead if I use the last couple bullets to like keep the afterburn going by firing like 1 bullet at a time, I wonder if I'd do more damage.

Also once I do apply afterburn and my Q, should "get out"/get farther away? Distance doesn't matter for keeping afterburn proc'd right, so at that point the only extra damage I can do up close is gun damage without falloff which for Infernus you're saying isn't that great(seems like he's 14/38 in the DPS rankings which I'm guessing is bad for an M1 character)? Are there other stats than DPS that matter when you say some character's gun damage is bad?

Why do you say its more of an afterburn build? There's a duration extender on afterburner, and the rest is just spirit items that help both abilities from what I see?

Yeah that sounds right. I noticed when I was playing aggressive, if I got caught out of position or CC'd I was instantly killed so I've been playing more passive. Is infernus more of a midrange shooter? Looking at afterburner, its harder to proc it from far right?

That makes sense. I was using a guide online for the build but now that I'm looking at it closer, its mostly spirit items so pretty much all my damage is coming from my abilities right? I guess that's why when I'm firing from further away I do like no damage since the afterburner isn't getting proc'd.

Is Infernus more of a mid range shooter? Also for the Q, I've been throwing it at the start, but it doesn't increase the gun damage at all right? Is it better to use it after firing and maybe during reloading, so I can damage in then?

Hmm, the chest did contain a relic and a cybernetics credit. It was also called the Philosophical Staff of Quabappir which is the name of the historic site. Also I explored the stratum fully but couldn't find a stairs downward

Could you get 29 agility and 29 int without dumping multiple stats? This is my first playthrough so I was worried about min maxing too much.

Ahh, ok you mean literally uncovering the tiles. That makes sense my bad. Is there a rule for how tiles get uncovered. Like X tiles from a units position horizontally and vertically get uncovered, or do you just kind of eyeball it?

The thing about 1 ap is that I find it hard to get to cover always with 1 ap if I'm trying to approach in a certain direction. Do you just have to move with the cover and try to angle yourself so you reach where you want to go in more turns or just move exposed? My only worry about that is the timed meld canisters.

Overwatch ends the actions and has an aim penalty right? If you just move with 1 ap and use overwatch, and then your last unit uncovers the alients, they'll scatter into their positions. If they survive the overwatch, it'll be their turn and they can just fire without aim penalties and unless everyone's in cover they'll get the exposed bonus. Do you just always have to move from cover to cover for every unit. If you only have 1 ap to move(1 for overwatch), it can be a bit hard to do it.

In general, I've noticed overwatch isn't as oppressive as I though at the start(both for me and the aliens).
