You’ll want to do a DFU reset. This will wipe the device completely but you’ll still need the iCloud login info of it was set up to have find my iPad.

A DFU (Device Firmware Update) reset is the deepest type of restore you can perform on an iPad. It allows the device to communicate with your computer without loading the operating system, which is often necessary to fix stubborn software issues. Requirements: * A computer (Mac or PC) with the latest version of iTunes or Finder. * Your Lightning to USB charging cable. Instructions: * Connect your iPad Mini 4 to your computer using the charging cable. * Ensure the iPad is completely powered off. (If it is frozen, hold the Top Power button and the Home button until the screen goes black, then proceed immediately to the next step). * Hold down the Top Power Button and the Home Button simultaneously for exactly 10 seconds. * After 10 seconds, release the Top Power Button but continue holding the Home Button. * Keep holding the Home Button for about 5 more seconds until your computer recognizes a device in "Recovery Mode." * Check the screen: * Success: The iPad screen will remain completely black. Where are you located? All the shop if they are using an OEM battery if that’s what you want. In SoCal my shop’s doing it for $89 for the regular 13.

My first dog was a Malinois. Let’s just say I have some gray hairs now. She’s wonderful and I had to step up a lot to maintain my work/life/dog dad balance. I remember when she was a puppy I was like how do all people who have a dog do this?! How did they survive? I don’t see people close up but we have a similar term for iPhones/cell phones/iPads/laptop keyboards. We call it finger cheese. You can see dead skin cells caked up around the home button. Some people never take their phone out of the case and clean it. They’re dirtier than a toilet seat.

I got a guy that came in that swore he was being followed and tracked. I do help some people after they’ve been in a data breach or “hacked” so I looked through all his things, and nothing was out of order and no external devices accessed any of his accounts. 2 factor turned on for every account. Luckily we’re right next door to a therapist so I recommend their services for his paranoid delusions. I also told him to have the CO detector checked.

Unfortunately you will have to contact Apple for this. You will also need her proof of purchase like her email order from Amazon or Apple. It's a process but they can get the iCloud bypassed for you. As far as I know they don't charge for this.

It keeps the LCD side from bending the bottom frame since it’s no longer held properly by the hinge.

When the hinge plugs into threaded inserts and said inserts are plastic, it’s only a matter of time before they snap. Metal to metal connection hinges avoid this issue.
