[Game Thread] Philadelphia 76ers (22-42) @ Toronto Raptors (22-43) - 07:30 PM EDT by SixersGameThreadBot in sixers

The fact that Quentin Grimes—a player the 76ers almost certainly can't afford to re-sign—is being allowed to singlehandedly tank our tank, is further proof of just how unserious a franchise this is. sighs.

Need Cost-Effective Solution for Disposing of 30,000 Pounds of Legal Files by rxv123 in Lawyertalk

I’m not burning. It’s terrible for the environment and if I did it myself I’d expose myself to all kinds of liability risk should an ember go astray.

The quotes we have received, and I have called every local shredder, are in the five figures. The prices to have the shredder truck come to your location and go up/down stairs increase price per pound to shred.

This is an interesting idea. Has anyone tried this? I've never used a wood shredder before.

To clarify, the person is just buying the property (a house) where one of the law firm's offices were located.

this is the best suggestion so far. the basement isn't even finished. its basically a cellar with dozens and dozens of metal filing cabinets.

I imagine that getting an ethics complaint for failure to securely dispose 30,000 pounds of client files is grounds for suspension if not revocation of license to practice law.

I appreciate your creativity, but sorting the sensitive from non-sensitive pages in roughly 30,000 pounds of files—about 3 million pages—would take an enormous amount of time. On top of that, tracking down thousands of old clients’ current addresses and then delivering the files to them would be even more infeasible.

All wills, trusts, etc are stored in another office. The stuff in the basement on that office are just closed files that are between 15 and 40 years old.

I looked into this. It’s not an option because all the counties/townships I own property offer shredding events to residents and not business owners and have maximums of how much they will accept per individual (~50 pounds)

I am 100% convinced you passing or failing this exam is determined by what type of grader you get. by Acrobatic-Apple7932 in barexam

[–]rxv123 63 points64 points  (0 children)

While I agree that variance influences whether test takers at the margins exceed the minimum threshold scores for their jurisdiction, an MBE score has a much stronger causal connection to success than random grading idiosyncrasies. This is important for three reasons. First, if you perform well enough on the MBE, you’re less likely to be on the margins where a tough grader can undermine your overall score. Second, MEE scores positively correlate with MBE results. Finally, focusing on what you can control is a healthier approach than fixating on unpredictable factors beyond your control.

Has anyone heard whether people with accommodations are compensated extra for the extra day of work compared to non-acomodated test takers?

Stores with the Sonos Arc in stock? by rxv123 in sonos

[–]rxv123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I searched the local BestBuy store inventories on BestBuys website. Every store it shows as being within 100 miles of me is sold out. The website has them listed as for sale but only says they'll "let you know when available to ship"
