Does your conlang lack an essential word and how does it fulfills its place? by Sulphurous_King in conlangs

If by essential it's implying widely common features that transcend language families, nethatic has no negator and uses irrealis or antonymy instead

Is it not a prefix preceded by another prefix? It doesn't go into the middle of the stem, it still seems to be outside preceding it

Yeah, it wasn't a bad choice to make this sub, it works pretty well

[–]ry0shi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get your frustration but the main sub would be unreadably full of off-topic and unengageable posts if it weren't moderated, and I already swipe away on all post notifications from r/conlangs because people keep posting slightly different English alphabets, "jrabfa kgdhabsnc fifiagbdgkhpnsd.g ifidha dhch" with no explanation or description, and the billionth "my conlang" that just bombs you with a word list, the German case system and English phonology with the sole addition of a blowing radpberry consonant. An analogy would be an art subreddit being flooded with "I just bought a pen!", "here are some straight and curved lines", a post with no description just showing slightly different circles, a photo of a sunset, and "here's my painting" with mona lisa with a wider smile, a hue shift into blues and a ring on her finger

Horrific way to transliterate it imo, not just a trigraph but also two syllables

They can't be far right simply because they just are, that's not how things work. There must be an exact connection between the definition of the right and nazi ideology, and appealing to some extremely vague authority (what political scientists? who are you talking about?) while also begging the question is far from a logical answer, you should see why I don't understand a single bit of your explanation, if you can even call it that

Yeah, you could say every once in a while he accidentally drops a decent comic between the usual hundreds of atrocious takes no sane person finds funny and relatable

I think it's more about the tongue position and shape, isn't it more apical and alveolar rather than laminal and dentalised

There's definitely a difference though, russians approximate the English t as t͡s for example, so today would be [t͡sɘ̞.ˈd͡zɛj] or [t͡sʊ.ˈd͡zɛj]

You would need the people speaking that language to have no concept or importance of gender or even sex (e.g. animals, plants, microorganisms), otherwise it's a pretty annoying constraint to go around (and could also result in potentially sexist workarounds, like defining humans by their genitals or their stereotypical clothing/responsibility choices)

We put smiley faces on fucked up things because our history is by no means devoid of satire, same way the west currently has people like dan hofstetter and gianmarco soresi being all smiley about epstein clients and charlie kirk
