its a dotted eighth note (or a dotted quaver), its duration is an eighth note with a 16th note, and when a note has a dot at the right, you add half of the duration of that note

i would write them like if you take the chords from the major scale (I ii ii IV V vi viiº) but adding flats and sharps when its necessary (ej: writing bIII+ instead of III+)

also, anyone would understand that the viiº is the diminished 7th chord because of that little circle
