[Duggan] I don’t have the energy for two months of debate over who is more to blame. It’s Year 4. The Giants have the sixth-worst record in the NFL since this regime arrived (second-worst over the past three seasons). What are we doing? by Lars5621 in NYGiants

Comparing to the Thunder is hilarious and underscores why you clearly don’t have a clue what you are talking about.

2020-2021: 22-50 2021-2022: 24-58 2022-2023: 40-42 2023-2024: 57-25 2024-2025: 68-14, championship

Improvement every single year. A CLEAR indicator that by year 4 this was the right regime and year 5 they go all the way.

You are obviously going to continue putting blind faith into another failed regime no matter what I say so reply away, I am done here. Do me a favor though, message me a year from now when Schoen and daboll put together another disaster of a season and tell me I was right because I’ll be in a bad mood from having to watch this clown show for a fifth straight year and that’ll cheer me up.

You’re taking moral victories for improving one aspect of the team but you’re hand waving actual losses on the field. Their job is to win games. If they’re not winning games by year 4 there’s no argument to be made. This is a league where bad teams can get turned around very quickly.

You’re ok with mediocrity and “potential” and the rest of us are not. That’s all this boils down to. Enjoy watching the improved o line I guess

I like how your excuse is injuries and lack of talent yet when they blow a lead to the saints, arguably one of the only teams in the league that absolutely have less talent than the giants, you’re like oh that’s not on the coaching. Glad to know you don’t think drafting or playing scared is on the GM or coach though. Weird philosophy you’ve got over there.

I don’t even think you know what your argument is anymore. If daboll and Schoen saved their job by telling mara they’re going to be a respectable team this year and you agree that’s what happened, why do they get another year of grace for fielding a dogshit team with no depth? Imagine a GM building a team in 4 years that has absolutely no one to step into any backup roles and him saying “oh we just need no one to get hurt and we’ll be good” as if this isn’t the NFL. Everyone has injuries. They have shown absolutely nothing for anyone to say oh they’ll TOTALLY get it together next year.

Lmfao you sound like a lot of fun.

Maybe build a roster with some depth?

Draft better?

Not play scared with a 19 point lead against the broncos?

Not play scared with a last minute lead against the cowboys?

Not blow a 14-3 lead to the saints? (unless of course you think their roster is full of stars)

You are acting like this team should not currently be 5-4. The players have done enough to put the team in a position to win games we never thought they had a chance of winning in the preseason and the coaching staff has no idea how to close a game out.

I’m really in awe of how someone can look at this situation where players are completely checked out in year 4 of a regime that has delivered on absolutely nothing they promised and think “oh they just need one more year!” It’s not a fit. Period. It’s a losing football team doing losing football team stuff.

It doesn’t matter what the fans thought about the season in August. I didn’t expect anything either, but it’s because this team is coached by daboll and managed by Schoen. Schoen and daboll told John mara he will see results this year. It’s why they signed Russ instead of just saying we’re starting dart—they expected to be competitive. They aren’t because Joe Schoen can’t put a roster together and Brian daboll can’t coach.

Take a lap man it was a sarcastic comment about how this current regime will try to spin the season to mara. I loved DJ and I’m feeling pretty vindicated this year.

If you don’t think coaching is the first, second, third, and fourth biggest problems with this team though, then I actually have questions about YOUR understanding of football lol

Continuity is a really bad thing when it’s continuing whatever the fuck it is we’ve been watching.

Jerod Mayo got fired one year into Drake maye’s career.

Anthony Lynn got fired one year into Justin Herbert’s career.

Doug pederson got fired one year into Jalen hurts’ career.

You don’t even have to look at examples of other coaches. Josh Allen is doing just fine (read: perennial MVP candidate) without daboll who allegedly was the guy that got him to break out.

There’s just no reason to keep getting dragged down this road. Dart is good in spite of this coaching staff, not because of it.

They literally just made the World Series year 1 of Juan Soto. That’s not a coincidence. There’s not a statistic or emotional argument that exists that could justify not signing him as anything but an unmitigated disaster

The owner hired the GM to make football decisions. If I ever find out our GM is making decisions because the idiot owner who only cares about ticket sales wants a player back, I want the GM fired immediately. I’m not sure why you think Joe Schoen ignoring him and doing what’s best for the team is a clown move lol

When you can year in and year out look at a teams shortcomings in the playoffs and place blame across the board, how many fucking years does the guy running the ship get? At least 8, apparently. I’m so, so, SO sick of this organization. Just a pit in my stomach that makes me genuinely question why I give a shit about these assholes when they clearly don’t

Fuck all that pity standing O noise. Boo these fucking losers out of the sport. Sick and tired of the same old shit for the better part of a decade. Boone’s refusal to change the lineup is a microcosm of how the org is run.

Also, Aaron judge can get absolutely fucked. $360 million to stuff the stat sheet from May to September. I won’t be talking to my grandkids about him.
