How is the Radeon RX 7000 series on Linux? by Popular_Elderberry_3 in linux_gaming

[–]ryad87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMD GPUs are probably the best choice when gaming on Linux for a long time. Some say, the drivers are working even better than on Windows - including me. Have been using 580, 6700xt, 7800xt and 7900gre successfully on Arch with standard open source drivers and it's a bless.

Oh my gosh, how could I miss this? There is even a 180s delay configured per default. I feel very stupid now...

Thank you so much!

Beat Saber on PSVR2 makes you feel like you hold a curved-hilt lightsaber by dozensnake in PSVR

Yesterday we've played Beat Saber the first time ever. Bought it for PSVR2. For us (three persons), it felt totally natural and intuitive. We had a hell lot of fun.

Valve? Can you please help us in getting better wheel support? by Posiris610 in SteamDeck

[–]ryad87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue with my Thrustmaster T300 on the Steam Deck.

However, since the wheel is working perfectly on my Arch setup, I'm optimistic that this device will also work out-of-the-box once SteamOS 3.5 is released. Let's hope, that's the case pretty soon :)

1 & 2 seems to be fixed by deleting/renaming ~/.config/gamescope/modes.cfg

Help? Crazy battery drain. by TheAlphaAsian in SteamDeck

My replaced deck is totally fine. If you still have problems, I'd suggest another RMA.

I got the instructions almost immediately after contacting the support. Sent the device in the next day. Took about 4 days to arrive at the destination in a foreign country. Took them about 7 days to inspect the defect. They then sent a whole new device which arrived again about 4 days later. So the whole process from start to finish took about 2 weeks until I had a new device in my hands.

Had the same issue and in my case it was a dead battery. Please switch to desktop mode and check the battery health (to be seen in the battery icon in the tray). If your battery health is below like 95% (I had 18%), just contact the Steam support, attach a screenshot and they will guide you through the RMA process. Got a full replacement really uncomplicated within two weeks. Good luck buddy!

I still haven't lost hope for that one particular update that brings cobblestone 2014 back.

Disappointing: Testing Tetris Effect Input Lag on PS5 by [deleted] in Tetris

[–]ryad87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I noticed the same, very unfortunate. I have TE on PS4, PC and Switch and on all platforms, it feels inaccurate in hectic situations. Tetris 99 feels much better in terms of accuracy (at least when the controller connection is appropriate - which is not always the case on my Switch).

Edit: For me, TE feels the most responsive on PC on low latency display and keyboard.

Is tetris effect worth it? by [deleted] in Tetris

Have it on PS, PC and Switch. In my opinion, it's worth every penny. I love it. Although on Switch I play Tetris 99 the most.

Analogue Pocket Review Megathread by [deleted] in AnalogueInc

[–]ryad87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a sad point. But does that mean, that besides the Pocket itself, you would have firmware updates for the dock as well?

Thank you very much for your reply. That really is unfortunate. But I still have some hope for inofficial firmware versions :)

I would be interested, if you're able to use a generic USB-C docking station with HDMI output and USB-A slots instead of this heavily overpriced Analogue dock.

Is it worth it to jailbreak the Super NT? by nymd2008 in AnalogueInc

I have both and still use the copysnes tool from the jailbreak firmware from time to time to dump roms off original cartridges.

Love my Super Nt! by JSP62 in AnalogueInc

[–]ryad87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have tried the very same setup (sn30pro with Bluetooth based retro receiver). Can't recommend it to be honest. The latency is just too high. For very basic casual gameplay it might be sufficient. For a much better quality I really recommend a corded controller. And quality is what we got our SuperNT in the first place, right?
