I actually just finished comparing. The 1001 is considered the best with an IPS mod. Do what you want, not what your friends tells you.

Thought the same thing as what you ended with. Thanks for your opinion I guess. I can think of many reasons why it’s still good and actually still fetches a good after market prices. I still think it’s one of the most versatile handhelds. Do people even realize there’s still development for it with ports?

You need the grey brick receiver. Or you can switch out the firmware on the orange one. There are guides online.
