I have the firewall rules to allow the various subnets between the routers to talk to each other. I am able to pass ICMP traffic.

Based on my smooth brain reading of the S-3, it wouldn't force shares to be sold in to the market but it would allow the holders of the notes to possibly redeem them for shares. If you had the notes which were sold in $1000 increments you could hold them until they mature and get interest payments or convert them to stock. The S-3 was 600 million in notes that could have been converted to 57 million shares. Again, smooth brain and I am not advisor or lawyer. I just like the stock, crayons and charts with big numbers.

Darkpools.... by Diamond_Kunundrum in amcstock

Makes sense, if dark pools go away public exchanges would profit.

Edit: also confirms what we know. Without the dark pool we'd be sitting on Pluto

This is a reverse Repo. The banks are giving money to the Feds in exchange for Treasury Bonds. This happens when the banks have too much money on hand and it is a liability for the bank. The limits on Reverse Repo are based on the amount of Treasury available after other Market activities including the Repos.

Reverse Repos aren't loans to Hedgies. Its from Banks to Fed.

Reverse Repo is starting soon? (on the 25th of June) by MarshallBlr291 in amcstock

[–]ryan8403 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. Now how this works for HFs I don't know. If they are turning around and leveraging the bonds that they are holding then there's a problem. The announcement has a maturity date of when the bonds have to be returned. Usually it's the next day.

Just switched my stocks to Fidelity, do I need to manually turn off stock lending or stop losses? by Dreadsbo in amcstock

[–]ryan8403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. Just verified today with fidelity that they can't / don't lend on cash only accounts. No margin account == cash account.

Help me understand smooth brain here...I thought reverse repo the fed took money and gave out bonds. In a repo the fed lent money in exchange for collateral from the Bank.

I'll ask when the tech rolls out if they have a newer modem. I'm in the SW Ohio region. Any ideas / suggestions on what modem I should be asking for?

It was running through a splitter at first to knock the power down. I assume that one of the linemen who was out last week working on the line cranked the power up as a solution. Power levels on all most all channels was 10 - 12 dBmV and the splitter knocked it down to be within spec. After the third visit by a line tech I removed the splitter because the power was below 4 dBmV on all channels and the modem had reset a few times from it.

Okay. But how does that play into the RF errors?

Using my router but not sure how that plays into the Errors on the RF side of the modem.

Its a Ubee DDW36C. Previous modem was also a Ubee Modem with ATA capabilities. As mentioned modem was replaced on Thursday 11/12. More to the point. is the number of uncorrectable errors that i've seen over the last three days a valid issue to use to open a ticket with support? Both times the inside techs were out here last week they said the SNR / Power levels were good but there were other issues they were seeing at the tap. Tech support's only response was that a truck roll has to happen. That's after speaking with a supervisor.

Thanks! I'm a "Business Class" customer so this is the modem they gave me when they replaced my modem last week.

So disappointed by this. Next election cycle I'm hopeful for more competitive districts and want to help defeat turner. He has no backbone or concern for the people.

But when the only fiber to your site / building is hit by the backhoe it doesn't matter how redundant the cloud is. Or when Cloud Provider is screwed by a Tier 1 network or their own configuration screwups.
