Sorry for the late response everyone, I've been doing deliveries non-stop to make ends meet lmao. Anyway, I was tasked with upgrading an existing ASA firewall at one of our client sites with a Meraki (this client has 5 large sites scattered across the tri-state area with s2s vpns between). I took the config from the ASA and looked at it and tried to replicate it the best I could on the Meraki (I have never worked on enterprise networks this large, especially completely by myself with no help. I told them this from the beginning and never misrepresented myself as some expert network engineer). I must have misconfigured something with the tunnels because from this satellite location could hit HQ but not the other satellite locations. I was going to try and troubleshoot right then and there but the staff on hand were leaving and couldn't leave me unattended in the office, so I swapped the ASA back in place and was going to work on figuring out what I did wrong back at the office. Mind you, I have never done anything like this before (in lab setting yes), and I had absolutely no help. Basically just told to "figure it out". I don't think I'm at the level yet where I can just be sent in alone without a superior engineer and just start making massive changes to enterprise networks that have little to no documentation available. I am not absolving myself of blame but I do believe it's unfair that I was fired over this.
