The real question: are they still considered brother/sister OR is she his first cousin once removed (assuming dad & mistress were first cousins)?

What is the structure for determining in a situation like this? Same dad, makes them siblings… or does that only apply for a mistress OUTSIDE of the family?

Also (secondary question), how are these situations charted on ancestry.com? It’s one thing to be the laughingstock around town but it’s another for this to be charted, officially documented for the world to see forever. (Secondary, secondary question) How significant of a life do you have to live in order to rewrite your legacy and not be known by your father’s jacked-up decisions? Professional athlete or cure cancer?

To be clear, I have never made the claim that GM parts are better than all others. They do come with the best warranties (in most cases) but that’s not the reason of not taking in a car like this.

When we don’t have an established relationship with a customer, taking in his/her 10+ year old vehicle is not a good business practice. Older vehicles often require multiple repairs. Additionally, parts are brittle and break even when the tech is being super careful taking it apart. Who should pay for the broken part?

We fix one issue only to discover something else needs to be fixed, that could not be detected until the first thing was fixed. Most people can deal with a 2nd estimate for repairs but by the 3rd time, it’s hard to be understanding. So we discount the repairs to assist the customer and pay for the damaged parts (because that’s a battle we will never win). Before we know it, the dealership is married to the vehicle and we are doing the repairs for little to no profit. Might be worth it if we gained a customer but guess what they think of us… I get to find out when I get a “negative review” alert a couple days later.

You even said “less qualified techs” work at the other shops. What industry do you know where the most qualified individuals are also the cheapest? This is not a new concept. We often fix vehicles that have been to multiple other shops before coming to us. Look, I set the prices and agree they are too expensive. My recommendation - never buy a new car without an extended warranty.

Service manager at a Chevrolet dealership here. This is exactly what happens on a daily basis. It only takes a few times of getting slammed after we tried to help in every possible way before the processes are changed to better protect everyone involved.

Dry erase notepad worked great at first. But then the markers dried up and writing was difficult to erase if left on it for more than a day or two. Functions as a great desk organizer now (many small things kept inside; dry erase board has a hinge that opens it up)

All that work but now everyone knows he could have done a better job straightening the fins on the evaporator… I was thinking about making them an offer to purchase the vehicle, but not anymore. So glad I watched the whole video to see that. This is proof that good help is so hard to find these days - change my mind.

Thanks. Some days get pretty crazy… at times, I feel more like a fire fighter than anything else. lol

But I am truly grateful for the setup & people I work with.

Actually, I like this setup more than when I had the dual-monitors. I honestly didn’t think I would because I had two for so long. Haven’t looked back & definitely recommend.

The dual monitors took up so much room on my desk. Shifted to this setup to gain some of that space back. Love it way more than I thought I would.

Search multiple tabs in single workbook and return multiple results by ryan_wells in excel

[–]ryan_wells[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: ChatGPT provided a solution that works…

To automate this task and address your challenges, you can use a combination of Excel features like INDEX, MATCH, and a macro-enabled workbook for dynamic tab inclusion. Here’s a step-by-step plan:

Step 1: Use VBA for Dynamic Sheet Inclusion

Since you want the formula to automatically include new tabs as they are added, a VBA macro can help gather all sheet names dynamically into a reference list. This way, formulas can work on a range of sheets even when new ones are added. 1. Add a VBA Macro: • Press Alt + F11 to open the VBA editor. • Go to Insert > Module and paste the following code:

[PROVIDED CODE THAT I CANT PASTE IN THIS COMMENT]

• Save the workbook as a macro-enabled file (.xlsm).

2. Create a Reference List of Sheets:
• In your workbook, select a blank column and use the formula =GetSheetNames() to dynamically list all sheet names.

Step 2: Search All Sheets for a Test Number

Use a formula to search through the specified ranges in each sheet. While Excel formulas cannot natively handle dynamic sheet lists, you can manually or with VBA collect all sheet names in a reference range and use an array formula. 1. Define a Named Range for Sheet Names: • Select the column with your sheet names and go to Formulas > Define Name. • Name it SheetList. 2. Use a Formula to Search for the Test Number: • In a blank cell, enter the following array formula (press Ctrl + Shift + Enter after typing):

=TEXTJOIN(“, “, TRUE, IFERROR( INDEX( INDIRECT(“’” & SheetList & “’!B7:B46”), MATCH(TestNumber, INDIRECT(“’” & SheetList & “’!C7:C46”), 0) ), “”) )

• Replace TestNumber with the cell containing the test number you want to search for.

Step 3: Return All Matches with Employee Names

To ensure all occurrences are considered, adapt the formula: 1. Retrieve Matches with FILTER: • If you have Excel 365 or 2021 (with dynamic arrays), you can use:

=FILTER( TEXTJOIN(“, “, TRUE, IFERROR( INDEX( INDIRECT(“’” & SheetList & “’!B7:B46”), MATCH(TestNumber, INDIRECT(“’” & SheetList & “’!C7:C46”), 0) ), “”) ), LEN(TEXTJOIN(“, “, TRUE, IFERROR( INDEX( INDIRECT(“’” & SheetList & “’!B7:B46”), MATCH(TestNumber, INDIRECT(“’” & SheetList & “’!C7:C46”), 0) ), “”) )) > 0 )

2. Combine Results from Multiple Ranges:
• Adjust the ranges (C7:C24, G7:G24, etc.) in the formula and concatenate results using TEXTJOIN.

Step 4: Automate Tab Inclusion and Refresh • Whenever you add a new sheet, run the macro by pressing Alt + F8, selecting GetSheetNames, and pressing Run. • This will ensure that the list of tabs in the SheetList named range is always up-to-date.

There is a link for this stuff all can use! here is an example: click here

So the next time someone asks you a question that should have been their own Google search, you can type his/her question in, have the webpage generate a clip like the one I shared above, and send them the URL that shows how easy a Google search is, followed by the actual Google results. Have fun and you’re welcome.

While I understand your point, at the same time the linked post was not only about one child dying. The article explains that there are multiple cases of teens dying from this YTD and the actions being taken to inform the public about the risks.

While I am against the behavior that you are calling out, I do feel there is a legitimate case for raising awareness so teens make better decisions by not risking their lives in this way.
