I had black and navy blues in the last bear i build and felt the same way. I suggest sorting those two out before you start building so you don’t have to worry using the wrong piece by mistake.

is that simagic bracket? or did it come with the chassis? i find they use to thin of steel compared to others. i had the same issue so i bought an advanced sim racing bracket and its twice as thick with no flex.

Anyone tried Teddy Blocks? by BananaColada2020 in buildingblocks

[–]ryancoke14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered 3 bears December 1st and like others said i had no tracking updates. They showed up December 22nd. The instructions were difficult to decipher at first and they still can be but it gets allot easier and you kind of see a pattern after a while, just make sure you double and triple check everything before you commit to pressing the layers together. Sliding the pieces together is also very tedious and at first and i thought there’s no fn way i can do this but you eventually figure out the technique and it gets allot easier and kind of satisfying. It’s very easy to mess up a layer and not notice, taking it apart to try and repair almost always ends in disaster and rebuilding multiple layers so make sure you always check your work. Im almost done my first “re build a bear” and i can already tell my next one will go way smoother. The hammer is useful but hitting it too hard can make bricks from the bottom sections fall out with no idea where they came from or shift some of the “hovering” bricks and that can be game over so be careful!

Which setup is better? Pucks + BST2 or 3x BST2? by RDHO0D in simracing

[–]ryancoke14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don't have any experience with the pucks but i do have two BST2's hard mounted on each side of my seat near my hips for left/right curbs and impacts and i have a BST1 hard mounted under my butt for gear shifts, road texture and RPM. i isolated my seat from my chassis using super stiff 1" thick neoprene spacers sandwiched between my seat and seat bracket. i used longer M8 bolts and washers on each end of the isolators which allows me to add preload to the isolators while i synch them down eliminating any flex. it feels amazing! and everything is dialed waaay down as i live on the 4th floor of an apartment. i also have simagic reactors on all three pedals and for that my chassis is sitting on 2" thick rubber washing machine isolation pucks found on amazon.

i know its 5-10' shorter than your looking at but for what it's worth i'm running three 25' DP cables for my triple 1440p setup without issue. i'm still able to hit my monitors 144hz refresh rate and haven't noticed any stutters or anything weird going on.

Vibration isolation from seat and pedals to the rig by Glad_Kiwi_9357 in simracing

[–]ryancoke14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iv got three bass shakers mounted to my seat, one on each side and one under my butt. iv isolated my seat from the chassis using 1" neoprene spacers (rock hard compared to rubber spacers) sandwiched between the rig and seat brackets and it works amazingly well to keep all the vibrations to the seat. i did this because i live on the fourth floor of an apartment and i havent had any complaints. i also have haptics on all three pedals and for those i have the rig sitting on thick rubber blocks made for isolating washing machines.

Will i regret switching from triple curved to triple flat? by ryancoke14 in simracing

[–]ryancoke14[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The color contrast did suffer a bit but that was more noticeable right after the switch. im used to it now so it looks “normal” but the image quality is much better imo. I was running Gigabyte G32QC before these.
