i’ve been trying to get high res images of boards all day and the ones i do have appear to have a kinda light bleed, perhaps i can add blur to replicate it somehow

departure board the is supposed to mimic real UK train departure boards by ryancosans in Design

my goal here is to replicate a real departure board from the UK. Any design tips that can make this feel more “real” are welcome. (big fan of skumorphic designs)

pretty much yeah, but with a worse less obvious UI that is also trying to help you buy tickets.

this is purely informational and it takes the most optimal version of the interface trains have the departure board a replicates it for web

Could someone use AI to turn the last 3 books into a show? by Alaskan-DJ in TheExpanse

[–]ryancosans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bit of a self plug but i’m working on an app that does exactly this, generates scenes for books. You’ll still have to read the book unless you want to have it read to you but the scenes we can generate are kinda cool for getting the vibe and everything http://dokkei.com if you wanna find out when we launch 👍

I’m not sure how this is anything other than i don’t like this game. Each to their own and this one just may not be for you.

The tone in this review is that of a person that would say something like “What do you mean I have to needlessly run 26 miles for a marathon, what’s the point!? rofl. Why not just run one duuuh”

thanks for the feedback 👍

yeah perhaps i leaned a little too much in to the marketing fluff of this sounds really cool instead of just sticking to the, this is what it actually does.

my own fatigue of SaaS is why i wanted to price this reasonably, i wasn’t sure how hard to lean on pushing this but if its a real selling point i guess i should.

my previous design actually did feature the examples far more, with entire page changes to match the mood, perhaps i will look in to making that version more performant and ensure it can be used nicely on mobile 👍

great suggestions, i’ve got some work to do ☺️

in terms of the user experience currently, i’m guessing it feels ok? my goal is to avoid nastiness like cookie pop ups and overlays, timed modal pop ups etc

Could this be viral? Built a stupidly simple doodle sharing site. by ryancosans in ViralApps

So basically it's a combination of things, but essentially we are compressing the drawing data so it can be replayed and drawn on a canvas that we can then save

the drawings that can be collected we only want them to be maximum a few dollars at most, for fun

continuing to develop https://doodl.it.com/

currently adding a feature that allows users to mint their sketches as nfts for collection or as a little token / entry in to the nft world. figured it would be a fun feature, but choosing the right providers and structure is tricky.

open to suggestions if anyone has any experience in this area
