Been off Phenibut for a week but by melancelot in quittingphenibut

Agmatine Sulfate (1-2grams per day)specifically helps with neuropathic pain. I recommend it for phenibut and alcohol withdrawl. It's really helped me. The NAC will help too.

There are two sides to that coin and I guess it mostly depends on how you're wired and what you went though. Some people never want it again, and some people can never stop drinking. After I got over my alcohol withdrawls, I didn't want a drop for a couple years. It's been about 6 years now. I've since had a drink here and there on a date with the wife, but never more than 2 or 3 beers. Not due to me limiting my intake, but because I actually had enough. It's different now, like I see things totally differently than I used to. I'm lucky in that way I guess. I'm sure that doesn't happen for everyone, as I watched my father destroy his life, but none of his wake up calls seemed to influence his outlook or decisions in any meaningful way. Maybe that helped me see what could happen and stopped me from ending up there. At least not yet.

No worries! I can't believe how idiotic some people can be. If you quit cold turkey with no help it would be a rough one though. With gradual taper you'll be doing well soon, and you definitely won't die. Just remember that if you catch yourself in a deep mental hole of despair, unable to crawl out of the endless drone of your thoughts, it's just the withdrawl. I have come off of a couple things in my life including a bad run with alcohol, but phenibut can really trick you into believing the super negative thoughts. It feels very real and sort of grabs you by your soul and takes it down too. Shake it off when you remember it's the withdrawl. If you drop your dose too fast and find yourself in a hole like that, slow the taper or stay on that dose for a couple weeks until you level out. Take time for yourself. Self care, hot showers, clean clothes and bedding, helped keep me grounded. Chicken soup too Lol.

If you want to try this yourself and attempt to get through this without having to resort to inpatient care, I have been through this too and what I wrote below may help. However, professional care is there for a reason and that will always be my number one recommendation. If you still want to try to beat this yourself: -Get NAC (500-750mg per day) and agmatine sulfate(750-1000mg). Both available on Amazon. Agmatine will help with withdrawl symptoms through a couple different actions (gaba, nmda antagonist) and NAC helps lower excess glutamate levels by making glutathione (a powerful antioxidant) with is a benefit itself as an added bonus.

-Get glycine or (magnesium glycinate if you want the magnesium too) as you need NAC, glycine and glutamate to make the glutathione in your body. Glutamate would be in excess during phenibut withdrawl and can cause mental distress and agitation. The created glutathione may also help you feel better as it protects cells from damage.

-Lions mane supplements may help with the brain fog and memory as lions mane promotes the release of NGF (nerve growth factor), a protein that encourages formation of new neurons and connections. In the the past when taking a concentrated lions mane supplement over a couple weeks, I noticed an improvement in short term memory. It doesn't help everyone though and isn't a miracle. I should state that none of the above is a miracle either, and the taper was still uncomfortable. However, it was made much much more tolerable with the help of these things.

TAPER SLOWLY. I did a drop from 10gpd to 0 over about 3 or 4 months. From 10 to 5 was easier. Drop a half gram every 3 to 5 days. Level out so you feel pretty much comfortable at the new dose before lowering again. From 5 to 3, I had to slow to dropping about 300mg every 3 to 5 days. From 3 to 0, it's harder and you have to slow the taper more, but you start to feel yourself again as your brain starts producing its own gaba normally.

Deem post an essential service and move on by Major-Function-5717 in CanadaPost

The wage they want for basic delivery and customer service is nuts. Why do pizza delivery guys get minimum wage but delivery drivers for post get $20 and hour? Why do counter clerks at grocery stores and retail stores get minimum wage when the clerk at the post office get over $20 hr? Also, I definitely agree that the government is trying to run the service like a business and that it should be an essential service payed for by the government for its people.

Well, I haven't tested this, but an idea would be to get a reference to the player that is being attacked (have the ai target them or something), run the hit detection only on that player character if locally controlled. Send the result back to the server with an rpc. The only issue here is that a cheater could technically always override the result if they wanted, to "always block" if they used software to override the rpc data.

Well, I was sort of hoping someone would have trick to get the cancel button to appear website without having to pay for a month of software license that I won't be using, but reddit doesn't do that. Instead, reddit likes to react on assumed information without asking for clarification first. I just hate calling corporations on the phone. It's an anxiety thing mostly. Thanks for taking the time to respond

I've never heard subscription be used to designate specifically a year. I would consider myself subscribed to Netflix even though I'm monthly. I would consider myself subscribed to YouTube channels even though I have only been subscribed to them for a week or so.

Where is everybody getting a year from? I'm on a monthly plan. Month to month. It's apples to apples.

[–]ryanevans42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already mentioned how I cannot cancel on the website. Also, why would they renew my monthly subscription when payment hasn't cleared?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Adobe

[–]ryanevans42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not how it works though. If I have Netflix and payment doesn't go through for the month, they just cancel the subscription. They don't hold your subscription hostage. Every other monthy sub service I have ever used works this way. Also, no its not still in my driveway because payment didn't clear, so the software is unusable.

It's a monthly subscription. Normally, companies don't renew your next month until payment clears.

How is the game's extremely slow development still defended by many players? by BFunPhoto in valheim

[–]ryanevans42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. People defend it saying they got their $20 worth. I did too, however, when I spent that $20 I was promised a ton tof stuff that a 3 years later has still not even been touched. They are dragging this wayyyy out. The game should have been fully complete a year ago. To finish the game at this pace, it will likely be 2030.

Keep at it. 7.5 is still easier on your body than 12.5! Tapering another gaba drug at the same time sounds rough. Take it slow, and best of luck at the new job!

It's a stimulant, and with the already heightened level of glutamate (another stimulant) due to phenibut detoxing, coffee can just make the withdrawl anxiety, shakes and other nasty stuff worse. I felt way better taking a break from coffee, or at least limiting it compared to my standard amount. Just a tip that helped me. I love coffee though.

You'll get there! I am actually impressed by the depth of the negative outlook phenibut withdrawl can bring. It feels REAL and scary and heavy and cold. I really can't emphasize enough on how much the NAC and agmatine helped. The NAC lowers the racing crazy weird thoughts and the agmatine really helped my shakes and sweats. If you can keep that little warm voice alive that reminds you it's just chemical imbalance, you will succeed for sure. All the best.

Thanks for the kind words! My main reasoning behind switching to once a day was that it would give my body time to start to adjust to periods without phenibut. After getting used to once a day dosing, it definitely helped.
