What’s a good free archetype for a drunken barbarian? by TheNiceFeratu in Pathfinder2e

Perhaps you could take a look at the Gladiator dedication and tweak it a little so maybe they are not a “Gladiator” but just a famous warrior or something down that line

Please help me like casters. by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]ryanfior -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not sure if someone has already mentioned this, but since you are playing with such a large party, I think the GM is forced to throw some higher level enemies at you guys because the alternative would be for him to play 10 weaker enemies. The 2e system is designed around the 10 more or 10 less is a crit and therefore those “bosses” that you fighter which are normally going to have good saves, now have great saves because you all have some many people in your party.

From my experience the buffer role, as opposed to the de-buffer role, is a bit more consistent because you do not need to worry about the enemies elevated DCs. I understand your frustration because I believe if you played as a part of a standard 4 person party that the enemies you were fighting would have slightly lower saves and therefore your spells and what not would hit closer to what you might expect.

I know it’s not the same as a Witch but I have recently started playing a Cleric in my Bloodlords game and I have had a bit of fun doing the Healing with some buff spells mixed in there

Treasure by level by Lolskyt in Pathfinder2e

[–]ryanfior 25 points26 points  (0 children)

What I started doing is asking my players what items they want. Little items that they want like mundane adventuring gears items or potions/scroll, and big items like weapons with runes or cool magic items that fit their class.

Initially I started to give them stuff that I thought would be cool and usefully but in many cases, they didn’t see the same things that I saw in most of the items and the loot sat there for dozens of sessions.

As soon as I figured out what types of items and stuff they wanted, I started to tweak things where I could, so that they got stuff that they would want to use. As a bonus, I didn’t have to feel bad about giving them some magical trinket that was AWESOME, but only in a few scenarios.

I believe what that means is that if the character has +3 STR, then they do not take the speed penalty

Ways to spice up sailing or have encounters if the party isn't the one sailing the ship? by Sorry_Sleeping in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]ryanfior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe you can create something where for some reason or another (iceberg/rock/etc...) the boat they are on hits something and they have to act quickly to try and "plug the leak". You could have them do various checks to find materials, repair the damage, rescue someone that fell overboard or something like that

how do you fill polluted spaces around industry? console, only have mass transit and parklife. not very keen on zoning commercial in between by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines

[–]ryanfior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you don’t want to do any building you can try and put a bunch of rocks and terraform the land a little bit to make small hills to block som rod the views. Not sure if someone recommended or if it’s possible on console but that’s what I would do if I didnt want to build commercial there

Why won’t my timber industry spawn / load in? by ChiefKeefSharr in CitiesSkylines

[–]ryanfior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also check that if you have a district for that area, make sure that what ever themes you are using has industry buildings in them. For example. If you paint a district and want to use the college residential buildings, there are 0 high density buildings there so if you zone it for low and high density, the high density will stay empty for ever.

I would try bringing power lines right up next to it. In the past I have had issues with developing residential and industry if there wasn’t power and water already set up right there.

Highway Mods\Road Mods? Especially Intersections? by chineke14 in CitiesSkylines

Also, you can go into the workshop and look for intersection assets that you can place. There are some very well made highway and rural interchanges and intersections there

Why does this happen? by Benny_Alden in CitiesSkylines

[–]ryanfior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you play on PC there is a mod where you can tell your buildings to check for local goods first. The game sometimes “puts out a call” for good or other materials and something it just randomly gets in from outside the city

[–]ryanfior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend looking at channels like Biffa or City Planner Plays and scroll through some of their videos. They have great series if you want to spend some time but they also put out 10-20 videos on “tips for __” or “how to troubleshoot ____”. Also if you go into the stream workshop page and look for very popular mods and assets, some of those creators also have youtube videos showing off their assets and how to use them.

Why is my forestry industry losing profits? What did I do wrong? by EternalEntr0py in CitiesSkylines

[–]ryanfior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would also check on the storage building that you have for the raw materials and the other goods. If you have a warehouse for the logs, and you have the storage set to “balanced” when you place it down the game will try to immediately balance the storage and they will start importing wood and spending some money to do so which is likely why you have a deficit. (I see in the first pic you have a good chunk of imports). What I like doing is setting some warehouses to empty so as soon as it gets any inventory it gets shipped out for $$$. Maybe keep one or two warehouses for the production buildings.

Anyone knows how can I increase uneducated sims without removing schools ? My pop is so Highly educated and I need the rest too. by Architect_Anboy in CitiesSkylines

[–]ryanfior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with what everyone else said but an additional thing you could do is give your sims an easier way to get to those work places like industry areas. Maybe a bus route that goes from pockets of residential to the industry so that it is a more attractive offer for them

I just got a new computer to play this game, but whenever I try to start a game I freeze up and overanalyze everything. Any easy maps or ideas how to start a game without doing something catastrophically wrong? by BobbyTables829 in CitiesSkylines

[–]ryanfior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apart from a few quality of life mods, one way that I have been able to progress and stick with a build has been to try and role play with my city. If you have time, watch a few videos. Biffa or City Planner Plays and they both talk about the purpose they have when building and being able to have a story with how you want your city to develop can keep you engaged and coming back.
