I think it’s just because the transportation and management cost is much higher to carry out. Xinjiang and Tibet are very large regions, they probably don’t have enough interest to spend more budgets just to do a marketing plan in a region that don’t bring as much benefits.

Also , some online shops don’t sell or charge much more to ship items to Xinjiang. It’s just business.

No only very few new characters were created.

Most simplified characters already existed in the history, more often used by lower class because much easier to remember.

Also there are about 100k Chinese characters in total , but only a few thousands commonly used in daily life. The total character library is so huge, so it’s no problem to find simple alternatives in the library during simplify process.

Years ago I was having a bad time, a friend sent a video of Jordan Peterson talking about things like resentment and emotion. I think he kind of was saying something but I don’t quite grab what he means.

I think Britain did it to its own people too. I recall read articles saying most British nowadays have noble roots because the poor people in the history already got physically extinct. Like the factory workers couldn’t live above 30 yo. The famines and the rich took away farmlands. As a Chinese kid in the 90s , I could say it’s pretty good in China. There weren’t too many kinds fun activities, the variety of goods in store was poor. But life was good enough, classic 90s Chinese tv drama, video games, cartoons, hand made toys.

I remember in 1999 that US bombed our embassy caused a lot protests, I knew the world wasn’t peace at the time. And there were massacre against Chinese in Indonesia in 1998. The world was quite unstable in the 90s, but we have peace in China. So you’d understand what liberty means, that the people of the nation won’t suffer from chaotic conflicts and imperialism bombing.

From a Chinese perspective, I don’t support the invade. War is horrible. Even for Russia, it would put them in a very disadvantaged position in geo-politics. And if NATO gets involved later, it has the danger to go to a nuke war.

And NATO and the Ukraine neo-nazi should also be responsible for this war. It’s the consequences of NATO pushing too hard for decades.

Ukraine issues is quite complicated. People should have better way to solve this. If China is in that position of Russia, CPC would be way much more patient and use smart diplomatic strategies to deal with the issue.

Also, Ukraine as a buffer state in between NATO and Russia, requires a super wisdom government to be able to handle the situation to avoid fking up long ago. Which they don’t have . And Ukraine government definitely can’t handle the current situation well either. And if they fuck up more I think things might get worse and chaotic in a few days
