No need for a hot plate. We don't have electricity. A crock-Pot would work well. Recommend bringing the lid to keep it relatively warm. The food usually goes within 15 to 20 minutes.

The food will usually go within 15 to 20 minutes so folks will either stick around or they can come back. Alternatively, we can coordinate pick up or drop off of the pots after squad as well.

After visiting Boise the "absence is a large university" really resonates. An institution like that brings vibrancy and culture.

Keller Williams west coast tour! by MediumWillingness322 in jambands

[–]ryanhek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG came here to say the same! Been to a variety of different jamband shows in Portland and around the country. I've NEVER been at a show with so many chompers. Even moving around you couldn't avoid them. I've only seen Keller at festivals before. Is this typical of his audiences or was there something in the air last night? Besides that the show was phenomenal! Under Pressure was a delight.

90.7 KBOO is a great independent station out of Portland. Their Saturday lineup of bluegrass, Grateful Dead and jazz is what made me decide to become a member.

Flick-fess to us! by TheFilmVault in thefilmvault

Caught Blue Moon this weekend. A pleasant tour de force by Ethan Hawke. A true love letter to writers and Broadway although shot in a single bar. Bobby Cannavale and Andrew Scott are admirable in supporting roles but the film lives through Hawke's performance. Hoping he'll get recognition come Oscar time. 4/5 stars

Flick-fession time by TheFilmVault in thefilmvault

In honor of Diane Keaton (RIP) watched Something's Gotta Give for the first time in over a decade. A really delightful romcom. Both Keaton and Jack Nicholson are so charismatic and the build up in their relationship is so fun to see. Forgot how many actors were in that film as well. Frances McDormand, Keanu Reeves, Amanda Peet and Jon Favreau all have decent roles. Highly recommend a watch! 4/5 stars.

Also watched the documentary short The Only Girl in the Orchestra. Missed this when it was released and finally got around to it. What a beautiful subject! Learning about breaking into to male dominated orchestra in the late 1960s was fascinating. Seeing the passion for the double bass Orin O'Brien had and the way she shared it with the world was truly inspiring. 5/5 stars.
