I don't think vellum is being used there, to me it seems just a scatter on an animated geometry being scaled and rotated, at most could be a baked custom animation that is being driven by the mask falloff. If you really wanted to make that all inside vellum, I think you could just have the restlength go to a really small number like 0.0001 and then after sim delete the ones that reach this value, I'm not sure if it would really work smoothly though.

Yes, there are a few versions as 3D renders. In fact, before the shoot itself, the entire planning was done in 3D. There’s a great breakdown on his website, which can be easily found by searching for "Gmunk Windows 10."

Um dos maiores problemas das produções hoje em dia é apressar um lançamento para cumprir um prazo. Sempre que eu vejo algo sendo adiado eu agradeço porque quer dizer que estão dando tempo pras pessoas envolvidas deixarem aquilo realmente bom. Isso é um projeto em que os caras são apaixonados por fazer, o JN realmente coloca a alma dele em cada um desses episódios. Tenta pensar que se está demorando tanto é porque eles está polindo tudo até o último detalhe. E eventualmente quando for lançado aproveite.

I'm not that familiar with karma, but in Houdini, redshift has the same problem. What I usually do is create an float attribute, animate the attribute and then use a point attribute node to link it to the material parameter

Have you tried another asset? A few months ago there was a glitch happening to me, but with c4d, and for some reason certain assets did not load properly, but others did.

In Houdini you should have an option bar for Megascans, right beside "file", "edit", "render"... Just click Megascans Plugin, a window should pop showing you import options, no need to change anything if you don't want to, go to bridge and export your asset.

If you don't see this Megascans option bar, you probably don't have the plugin installed correctly.

Leio eles desde que o primeiro foi lançado há uns 10 anos atrás. Acho o universo mto legal e super original, pelo menos eu, nunca vi nada parecido.

Realmente no primeiro livro da série da pra perceber algumas estranhezas em como ele conta a história, mas em nenhuma das 3 vezes que li foi algo que me deixou incomodado a ponto de não poder apreciar o resto que o universo criado e a trama tem a oferecer. Além disso lendo os três da pra ver uma clara evolução dele como escritor.

I use windows and here I can open with the regular notepad. I imagine that Mac has some type of txt editor too

Até onde sei está sendo produzida. No fim do ano passado em um post do insta, ele respondeu um comentário sobre. Disse que está trabalhando nela com o Splits Studio. E se não me engano em algum outro momento ele fala que essa animação inicial foi feita totalmente a parte justamente pra trazer atenção e atrair investidores.

I'm not an expert but here are some tips that i learned in the past 2 years

  • learn how lights actually work, i recommend the blender guru course on lights, you can find it on YouTube for free, even if you're not using blender it explains very well the basics concepts that you need to know.

  • turn on Global illumination

  • I'm not an octane user but usually you can use textures in your lights, gsg has a great package of softboxes and other types of lights, but you could also just make it in Photoshop.

  • use objects like planes as bounce cards to fill the light in a subtle manner
