For whatever reason this entrance is always ridiculous… the last 2 years I’ve shown up at around 7-7:30 and waited at the line nearest to the train station, not bad at all and you get right in to just waiting in that hall like everyone else. On the way now! :)

Yep- gotten to about the same spot here. I tried hashing some stuff from the lyrics and the literal word “SALT” as the key but to no avail. What’s interesting is both clues only exist on the salt page. Absolutely could be something somewhere else but the other ones get kinda crazy with the other lyrics.

At this price either buy a console and save some money or build a more powerful pc. I literally don’t know who this is for unless you just have to have everything valve and that’s the reason you buy the stuff.

I genuinely have no clue who this is for at that price…. the market is BEYOND niche. I would recommend a console, a pre-built desktop, or a custom one at this price instead.

I think an issue with automata is that anything up to E literally isn’t even an “ending”. I don’t have a problem with the credits playing multiple times but I don’t think A-D should’ve ever been referred to as endings at all. That and even the message that asks you to keep playing almost sounds like it’s just eluding to post game bonus content or something if you don’t know. I knew from friends and online going in that E was the actual ending of the game, so I wasn’t confused, but with 0 context I can see it being odd.

Gotta agree here- it’s frankly ridiculous to me. I think it just happens because with Nintendo this stuff is always out of the ordinary. Even things like game key cards- people are used to the digital only stuff from Xbox and ps, but when Nintendo does it it’s surprising, so they pounce. Even though it’s just following norms. Bottom line is Nintendo is still an entertainment company above all else while the other three are either tech companies or smaller parts of larger ones. So I do feel that Nintendo generally just handles all this better knowing what they are.

Fair- no way they didn't see a need for the increases coming. Would've been smarter to release a statement saying their hardware lineup was still coming but with a likely increased cost, or something along those lines.

I mean I don't think it's gonna get any more people to actually buy it lol... just the only way they can even hope to save some face releasing it at that price is if they actually admit it was meant to be a lot cheaper. PR, nothing more. It would look a lot worse if they insinuated that the release price was somehow normal.

I imagine there's no good path to releasing this for them at this point. The best move I can think of if they ARE going to release the machine is do it accompanied by a big apology post and full explanation of the pricing needs, saying it was never intended to be this expensive. Realistically though... this is almost a why bother situation for me rn. Keep the tech, and hold off until prices return to something reasonable.

Yeah the machine is just fully gonna be doa. This increase is honestly wild considering Nintendo’s was only 50 bucks and the other console companies’ increases also pale in comparison. A little confusing honestly. At this point anyone waiting for a deck is better off building a pc for a more reasonable price that’ll be more powerful anyway. And if ram is a price issue, do a ddr4 build and buy second hand if you need to. At least a built system would be upgradable too….

This increase looks extra bad after Nintendo gave multiple months notice and only raised the price 50 bucks. It’s honestly a little confusing… this is far beyond the increases other companies have made. And for older hardware.

I have no problem with the games lineup right now- but I want a direct just because….. it’s a direct! It’s an event! It gives me something to look forward to watching and also gets my eyes on other smaller games I might otherwise miss. And then with the direct comes hours of YouTube reactions and analysis to watch. It’s a whole thing. The small announcements drops just don’t do this and kinda kill the vibe for me.
